Cards of Care is a community service project built through the inaugural Williamson, Inc. Leadership Young Professionals class in 2019.
Brooke Wanser, Carmen Stanek, Chase Harper and David Kelly created the concept of writing and leaving encouraging notes
β οΈ UNDER RENOVATION β οΈ
Today we had to remove our beloved card box. After three and a half years, it has begun to fall into disrepair, and we will work to create a durable replacement that represents Franklin well in the future.
Any builders out there? π·ββοΈ π·ββοΈ We would love to partner with you in creating a new box to continue our mission of bringing hope and encouragement through words of care π DM us for more information!
A big congrats to Cards of Care co-founder Chase Harper for receiving the Emerging Leader Award from Franklin Tomorrow at their 16th Annual Exemplary Community Volunteer Awards! Chase is absolutely exemplary- he is a dedicated husband, father, co-worker and community servant. If you know Chase, you know he is always making others feel welcomed and appreciated. Well-deserved π
A big thanks to Franklin Rotary at Breakfast (Franklin, TN) for hosting the Cards of Care team for a presentation about the origins of our service project and how we are looking to partner with organizations in the community in the future. Interested in having our team present at your nonprofit or community group? Send us an email at [email protected]!
You've got this! Just go for it π
Our very own Carmen Stanek received her second Franklin Tomorrow award last night along with the board of A Vintage Affair in the Civic Group category! If you aren't familiar with A Vintage Affair, they raise money for community groups helping women and children. Among her many roles, Carmen serves as AVA's Young Professionals board chair. Congratulations to Carmen and all the winners and nominees! We love seeing the volunteer spirit in our community!
Did y'all make it down to the Bluegrass Festival this weekend? We love the music πΆ
Cards are just flying out of the box drawer! If you have any blank card donations, please bring them down before the Juneteenth festival tomorrow!
It's Friday, and we've got a card restock coming to the box! This verse came into my mind this morning, and I hope it brings you some encouragement at the end of a long week. - Brooke
"Let us not become weary of doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." - Galatians 6:9
Just a reminder: Cards of Care is NOT accepting food donations anymore! Just cards, please π
If you are looking for a place to drop off some non-perishable food items, check out this sweet Blessing Box located at the Mack Hatcher entrance to Franklin First United Methodist Church!
Cheers to 2 years of Cards of Care π₯³
We're stocked up on cards, so stop by this beautiful weekend and take a note or leave one!
We're restocked with cards at the box! Thanks to for these special cards!
Thank you to those who have already filled out cards for Soldier Stockings! We are still short of our goal and time is running out! If you're in the area, please write a note of gratitude and holiday greeting to a soldier to be distributed along with stockings from Franklin Fumc. Cards are available in the box on Town Square. See the next image for more details!
We couldn't agree more, Eric π Thank you for stopping by!
WE NEED YOUR HELP! Cards of Care is partnering with Franklin First United Methodist Church to provide notes of encouragement to add to their annual Soldier Stockings project. The church is providing 155 stockings to active duty soldiers coming and going from the Nashville airport, those on base at Ft. Campbell who can't go home for Christmas, and new soldiers. We are asking you to write a note to a soldier for their stocking.
Please return your note to the cardboard box marked "Soldier Stockings" inside the Cards of Care box on Town Square by Friday, December 4. We have plenty of cards at the box, but you are welcome to use your own as well π
Cards of Care co-founder, Brooke Wanser, won the Emerging Leader Award at last nightβs Virtual Franklin Tomorrow Volunteer Awards! We celebrated by cutting more cards for the box to last through the holiday season! ππ
Give co-founder Carmen's new venture a follow. We love a hand-written note and supporting mental and emotional well-being!

Welcome to WholeCarded - happy mail for healthy minds! We are so glad you've landed on our page! It's our mission to provide care, community, and connection, one card at a time. π
With our passion for mental health awareness, we believe in the power of sending a hand-written card in the mail - so much so that we will be giving a portion of each purchase to help provide resources/therapy for those in need.
Please give us a like and a follow to stay in-the-know as we launch our greeting card collections in the coming weeks. Your support truly means so much!
Wholeheartedly,
Carmen
"New season- new attitude. Even if you fall flat on your face, you're moving forward."
You may have seen this beautiful card or others like it in our box. The film-printed photos and words are from a Franklin resident who says she loves to think of something small lifting someone's spirits.
"I hope people will keep the card, not because it's valuable, but because hopefully it lifts their spirit and they can draw on it from time to time as needed."
Thank you for sharing with us π
Happy first day of fall, friends! π
As this sidewalk artist said, "It's a great day to have a great day!"
Hey friends! We love the generosity, but we are not currently utilizing the box as a food pantry. The pasta sauce jars pictured have been taken and will be donated to a local food bank.
Itβs Carmen here. Iβve been hiking with my husband, Paul, in Sedona the past few days. We stumbled upon this reminder painted on a rock during one of our hikes. On , we want to remind you that you indeed are not alone. β€οΈ
Have you heard the good news? City of Franklin, TN - Municipal Government has been named an All-American City by the National Civic League! We're proud to be part of a community where people work to understand and care for each other π
Bright days are coming! π‘
If you needed a reminder, it's a great day to show someone you care about them β€
Love the idea of leaving water bottles during these hot days we've been having! π§
WET PAINT! ππ
We're doing a little refresh on the box and transitioning back to cards from cans. We're freshly stocked with new cards and ready for your messages of hope!
