Happy new year from our race family to yours. We are looking forward to the 2024 season.

It’s a little late but wanted to take some time and reflect on how the 2023 season went.

The season started with 8 straight races of frustration of having a gremlin inside the motor. This killed our qualifying and put us on catch up mode for those 8 races. Moving forward our team found the issue and was able to get back to normal qualifying speeds.

We were able to capture 9-10 top 10s for the year. We were able to check off one our top goals for the year which was to win a race, but not only did we win one, but actually had 2 heat race wins. We also had a career best P4 finish!!

We finished 11th in points in both Plymouth Dirt Track Racing and the MSA Sprints season. This is the only disappointing part of the season. With running our 1st full season we had high hopes of a top 10 points season.

Heading into the off season, we are working on next year. We would like to run another points season but will have to see how everything pans out.

Chris finished 2nd in his heat race which will have him starting 2nd in the feature!!

Chris is ready to take on Eagle River Speedway

Racing starts at 7pm.

So after realizing we never posted any updates about the last 4 wheeler race….here it is:
Piper continues to gain confidence, and this was a very looooong track!! She ran the same track as the boys and Chris. She finished 10 out of 11 riders. She shaved just over 7 minutes off her first and last lap.

The boys and Chris started off great. The track was rocky and dry. Colton had a small accident and rolled his quad early on, he pushed through was able to finish the race.
Chris had a terrible wreck halfway through. Another racer collided with him as they were going over a jump and launched him and the quad. He was knocked unconscious and was beat up really bad. It bought him a ride to the hospital in an ambulance as a trauma patient. The good news is, he had no major injuries!! He had a lot of bruising and road rash, some sore muscles, and a beat up quad. It was quite a scary time, but all of the help we received at the race track made it a lot easier. So many people pitched in to help the boys load up the trailer and collect our spare tires and equipment, as I shared the ride to the ambulance with Chris.

Due to multiple crashes and injuries during the race, the officials decided to end the race early, as we were in a small town, with limited ambulances, so for the safety of everyone…it was a shortened race. Colton ended up finishing 14th, Ben got 15th and chris still finished 19th out of 25 racers.

I continue to be so proud of my family as they work hard and put in a lot of time and effort into doing their best 🥰

With Chris’s commitment to the sprint car races, he has decided to not race the next 2 quad races. He will still race the last race in October, though.
