National Bourbon Heritage Month
Bourbon lovers rejoice - September isn't just about Virgos. September marks National Bourbon Heritage Month, a celebration of America's Native Spirit declared by the U.S. Senate in 2007. Across the country this month, bourbon enthusiasts will raise a glass in celebration of the craftsmanship and achievements made within the bourbon industry. At Rebellion, we'll be doing the same, but since September is also Virginia Spirits Month and we love to #drinklocal, we'll be toasting with selections from the Commonwealth. Here's how it will go 👉 Each week, we'll feature a new selection from a Virginia distillery. Come in and try it for $4 off. 👉 We'll be hosting free tasting events throughout the month. First one is tomorrow at 6pm (details below). 👉 Follow our stories as we share out information about the featured distillery throughout the week. 👉 While we haven't worked out all the details yet, we'll be rolling out a giveaway at some point this month in recognition as well. Made with Jameson Whiskey and served over a scoop of vanilla ice cream, drizzled in caramel-whiskey sauce, this special creation is ONLY available the month of June. So, if you are obsessed (like most of us) or haven't had a chance to try it, you have until next Thursday to get your fix and order one. This dessert is a special one because it's made in memory of Gwyneth Griffin, Rebellion Partner Joel Griffin's oldest daughter. In honor of her birthday month, we're donating all proceeds from this dessert to the foundation created in her honor, Gwyneth's Gift Foundation.
