I turn 33 years old today 🎂

As you get older you realize that everything doesn’t always go as planned. You also realize that it’s all about the type of mindset you have no matter what life throws at us.

I didn’t plan on celebrating my 33rd birthday in quarantine, and getting better from COVID with and Zenith, but here we are 🤷🏻‍♀️ I could sit here and be upset or sad( but I am grateful. Grateful that the three of us are getting healthier each day; grateful that none of us had to go to the hospital, grateful that I am no alone on my birthday. It’s the little miracles that God gives us, right?

Anyway, I’ll be resting today and watching the snowpocalypse take place outside our back yard ❄️❄️❄️❄️

Was MIA all days yesterday on social media, but got to capture memories and really connect with my friends and family. Let’s not forget to pour into one another.

There were way more people in the party but we were able to snag some photos with others 🥰 Zenith had a blast with the Paul boys ☺️ and I got to be with my crew before the year ended.

Someone asked me if I would ever go back to doing concert photography…and I answered that I no longer have the need to do it but if God ever called me back to do more shows, I won’t refuse. It’s what started my career.

Hello December. I know December gets a bad rep sometimes because it’s filled with chaotic holiday shopping, crazy traffic, toxic family members coming over for gatherings, and loneliness for those who have lost loved ones or are dealing with trauma.

Wow…that was heavy, huh? But let me switch up your mindset. What if I told you this month you could focus on soul care instead of what gifts to get for people? Celebrating Christmas should be filled with warmth and peace…what better way to do that when you take care of yourself.

We celebrated the last day of the month with rest and family time. It’s a new day tomorrow. Which means we are 2 months away from a brand new year.

So with that being said…I am getting over my fear of bugs and immersing myself into God’s creation.

When things got hard, I didn’t give up. There is no option to give up.

These past few weeks have been super rough. Just mentally and physically dealing with a lot of weaknesses. But when you run your own businesses, you can’t give up. You have to keep showing up, even when you want to throw in the towel SO bad.

In one of the roughest months I’ve been having with myself - My team and I have hosted our very first event and we did it in Hampton Roads, my second home. I love the 757 community so much, and being able to educate, raise money AND grow closer to people really gave me the energy I needed to keep me moving. But let’s not forget, it was God who orchestrated all of this. He just used us to carry out the mission.

This is so true! I’ve learned so much about my mother over the years, and I’m thankful to have her still here on this earth to learn from. Thank you for being a loving mother and amazing grandmother to Zenith.

One of my favorite quotes… it’s a struggle being a mother, wife and business owner. But guess what? I’d rather go through the struggle and grow than be comfortable and stagnant.

I want to be an example to our little girl, and show her that we should always strive to be of value to others and live in excellence as a form of worship to Christ.

It’s all about the community for me. It’s about learning from each other and growing together. God didn’t create us to be alone, he created us to be in a community.

Now don’t think we are all perfect and everything is sunshine and rainbows…we are far from that. But what I love about this team is that we are all constantly working on ourselves and we strive for transparency & respect for one another.

I prayed for this, and so thankful I got over my damn self to be apart of something I never imagined would be this amazing.

They said I was crazy. They didn’t understand. They put me in a box. God said, “Keep your eyes on me and trust me - don’t try to make sense of it, because I know what is best for you.” Then he blessed me with the best mentor I could ask for (she took this bomb a** photo too ). And he blessed me with a community who GROW and PUSH through the crap life throws at them and give the glory to God.

I no longer look at only what’s in front of me. I look at the bigger picture and believe in something bigger than me.

I am believing in blessing others.
I am believing in uplifting others.

I am believing in a greater territory for my children and their children’s children.
I am believing in giving back hope to the hurt.
I am believing in teaching others to live healthier lives.

This is the purpose God has given me. To bring him into lives of others, make them into leaders and restore their peace.

Stepped outside my comfort zone. Took a leap of faith. And made a life changing decision.
