Fresno Unified School District's Office of African American Academic Acceleration (A4) was created to identify and address the fundamental causes for the discrepancy in academic outcomes between African American students and other demographic groups.
A4 Summer Program Highlight: Math Camp
Math Camp is a coding and robotics bootcamp that teaches 5th & 6th grade students fractions concepts. Coding is the process or activity of writing a computer program. Students learned the new UC Davis C-STEM curriculum and Barobo, Inc., RoboBlocky coding program to demonstrate their knowledge and strengthen their fractions computational skills.
