On Sat., March 2, 2024, Moundview Memorial Healthcare Foundation will present the “Lifetime Community Dedication Award” to Dr. Martin and Carole Janssen at the Dinner & Auction Fundraiser at Lake Arrowhead Golf Course Clubhouse, Town of Rome.

Dr. Janssen practiced medicine in Adams-Friendship for over 50 years. Carole owned and operated a women’s clothing store over 40 years. In addition, they were involved in many endeavors that have made our community a better place for area residents. Please join us in recognizing their achievements!

Contributor names will be acknowledged at the March 2 fundraiser. The evening begins at 4:30 p.m. It includes a prime rib and chicken dinner, auctions, and raffles. Tickets are $40 each and are available with several contribution levels.

Ginter Christmas Trees is open 9-4:30 through Friday December 22, and closed Saturday, Sunday, Monday.

The Land & Water Department is proud to sponsor the 2024 Environmental Awareness Poster Contest!

The contest is open to all students (public, private, or homeschooled) grades K-12. Entries must be at the Land & Water Conservation Department at the Courthouse by January 5th, 2024. All students taking part will receive a certificate, with the Top 3 in each age division receiving special prizes!

With heavy hearts we say goodbye to a great employee and a great friend, Kathy Wuerzberger. She was full of knowledge and advice that helped many of our customers, who would come in asking just for her. We will miss Kathy’s cheerful character and are fortunate to have worked with such an enthusiastic and dedicated person as Kathy.
