Another one of my carved mugs is out of the Kiln and I like the deep cuts of the carvings and how they stand out.

It is a time consuming process requiring a lot of patience to find your artistic style and figuring out to present it in a way that is consumable and functional.

Jaipur Blue Pottery

These pots are made out of ceramic frit material similar to Egyptian pots and is glazed and low-fired only once. The design influence comes from Persian and Mogul designs.
No clay is used: the 'dough' for the pottery is prepared by mixing quartz stone powder, powdered glass, Multani Mitti (Fuller's Earth), borax, gum and water. The biggest advantage is that blue pottery does not develop any cracks, and blue pottery is also impervious and suitable for daily use.
