Thank you all for your beautiful words of encouragement and care. I knew I was blessed to have the opportunity to get to know you all and through it I fell more in love with this city... but it means so much to hear that I touched Fulton's heart as well. You are all Fulton's heart and I appreciate that you took the time to send a message of care to me. I pray for our city and the people and I am blessed to have gotten to know so many of you. Thank you ❤️

When my team received the polling numbers last night, the margin was low and it appeared a recount would be necessary. Upon review of the numbers today, it is clear that I have not pulled the numbers needed to serve as Mayor of Fulton this next term.

I have already called Mr. Rice to wish him and his team well in the next term.

I am proud of the work accomplished during this campaign and pray blessings over Fulton.

11/08/2023

Thank you to everyone who supported me throughout these past 10 months. I appreciate each and every vote which is why my campaign will be requesting a hand recount.

I couldn't be more proud of the collective effort that was put forward. I'd like to thank my family, my friends, my campaign, and each and every resident who took the time to talk with me, to help me understand your concerns and learn what is important to all of you.

It has been an absolute honor. No matter what happens, I am thankful for all the conversations I've had, and friends I have made along this path and I look forward to continuing to work for my city.

Thank you to all of the people who took time out of their evening to come to last night’s debate. I’d like to thank Fred Reed of Oswego County Today for planning and moderating. He did an outstanding job.

It is vital that people know the candidates who are on the ballot and a debate allows people the opportunity to compare their choices for mayor. As mayor, I will be committed to continuing to work for our city, collaborating with key stakeholders, being resourceful when it comes to our tax dollars, taking care of neighborhood blight and helping to restore our tax base. We need to encourage private dollar investment, be welcoming to business, uphold our code enforcement policies and laws on the books so that businesses want to invest here in the first place, support our law enforcement, work toward solutions to restore our lake, capitalize on our waterways and plan to rebuild our city with everyone at the table. I am passionate about Fulton’s potential and I believe in her with my whole heart. Together, we can ignite change!

What do you do after a debate? Go to Arby's for milkshakes, of course! Thank you to everyone that came out! The video will be posted soon!

Seems there are questions swirling around about the upcoming debate. Perhaps there's a case of cold feet? Here's my official statement that I sent to a reporter that asked me my position:

I was able to collaborate with Mr. Rice about three weeks ago about having a debate. At that time he explained his team had already reached out to both the Palladium Times and The Valley News to see if they were interested in hosting a debate. He had not heard back. We both agreed a good place to host a debate would be the Education Center. Days went by and I was delighted to hear that Mr. Reed was contacted by a sponsor and that Mr. Reed, a reputable and skilled journalist, was agreeable to host a debate and the sponsor was willing to cover the cost, as the venue and media do have a cost incurred. At the pre-debate meeting, I was glad to see that all candidates were agreeable with the sponsor and the format rules.

We all know this is an exciting political time for the residents of Fulton and each of us have been asked by many residents about a debate. I'm looking forward to participating Thursday and giving the people the time to have their questions answered!

07/05/2023

I'm so excited to be a part of the new Reimagine Fulton Group. One of the many great things that have come from this new group is the following Living History Tour grant! We can't wait to see people out experiencing our rich Fulton history! Mark your calendars!

Have you ever taken a Living History Tour? If you have then you know how cool this is going to be. If you haven't? Well, look what we have in store for you.

First of all, a little history about how this all started.

The Health Foundation for Western and Central New York (HFWCNY) has awarded Fulton Block Builders (FBB) a grant for a Living History Tour on South 1st Street in Fulton. “In 2021, HFWCNY awarded a $10,000 grant to FBB and we are pleased to announce that we were selected by the Health Foundation for Western and Central New York, in partnership with The New York Academy of Medicine, as one of 18 new grantee partnerships through their Age-friendly: Go Local program!” said Linda Eagan FBB Director. “Go Local supports neighborhood-level groups and organizations in building equitable communities through locally focused healthy-aging projects.”

As Eagan explained, “This is a very exciting project that goes beyond FBB’s original mission. A new group, inspired by the success of FBB, came together last winter. They named themselves the ‘Reimagine Fulton Group’ and are working to support the city in its endeavors and helping out where needed. The group decided to highlight the historical prominence of Fulton and came up with the idea of a Living History Tour.”

The tour will guide participants through some of the city of Fulton’s proud past. Once a thriving, industry-based community, like many cities in the Northeastern United States, Fulton suffered as factories with good-paying jobs left the area. Reminders of what made Fulton a great place to live still stand, especially along the Oswego River, a powerful natural resource that flows through the city.

Using the format of a narrated tour, those participating will have the option to walk or travel by bus as a historian provides information about key monuments and moments in Fulton’s past. Some stops along the tour will feature senior citizens sharing stories, enhancing the historian’s narrative with their unique memories. Other stops will feature members from Fulton’s high school and city-based theatre troupes acting out historical moments described in the narration. At the tour’s conclusion, a restaurant on the tour path will provide refreshments for the participants to enjoy, while reminiscing, exchanging stories and discovering connections with one another through a shared past.

Tours will take place on Saturday, September 30; Sunday, October 1 and Sunday, October 8 from 1:00 to 3:00. Information on how to register for the Living History Tour will be announced in the coming weeks.

So many people gathering to find ways to showcase the positivity we have in our City. So many people who want to promote unity and pride through our shared history. It's all good, Fulton. We will see you on the tour!
