HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Yesterday's beads. Made with one of the newer double helix glasses. I have a few in the kiln from today too. I'll show you tomorrow after I get them from the kiln.

I have a couple beads in the kiln that I'm really anxious to get out.. (not going to until the right time) - but I can't wait to see them. Fingers crossed - right now it's kinda trial and error for me as I ease back into making beads and working with the various glasses.
I do have a couple sets and a necklace with one of my beads and w/earrings I'm hoping to get listed here soon. Gotta figure out my paypal again too (first). It's been a long time!

From my little time yesterday...getting back to my roots (in glass, that is). I love the feel of these beads - they speak Victorian Romance to me.

Getting back in the groove. Figuring out what colors are what; and what, if anything, they do. My glass was packed up for so long, and so much of it was not labeled this could take a while.

Had to wear this one. I can't wait to get back out on the torch again. It's a bit harder to do now having the restaurant and my grandson's to take care of, but I'll figure out a routine.

I just had to go for it. It's been almost 8 years since I made beads, so I'm really happy with the first rose bead since lighting up the torch again!

Got all the filters in - replaced and replaced hoses and flashback arresters. Checked all other equipment - ready to go! I'm hoping to light up this coming Sunday. I'll keep you all posted.

Torch set up, kiln cleaned up, turned on and checked out for use. Oxy con cleaned up, all filters checked...ordered replacements, turned on to ensure working. Almost ready to light up! Just waiting for the filters. So, as you can see I have my minor in place, I am selling the bravo if anyone is interested. Also thinking about selling the big kiln
Too. It's great for a teaching studio. Let me know if interested in that too. I won't need either of them, just want to stick with my beads, and on a small scale.

I just can't believe how time has flown by. Here's what's been happening:

Some of you know that I seriously broke my leg on Jan 2nd and underwent 2 surgeries to repair it. I just recently got word from the doctor that I can start putting pressure on my leg again. My muscles, unfortunately are mush from not being able to use them as usual, so it's going to be a long road ahead to get back to as normal as can be expected.

My studio is still packed up with no where to put it... yet! We're looking for a new home, and hopefully soon I'll get back to creating again. I miss it so much! I've been looking at my beads (the ones I have left), and I decided that I'm going to design some jewelry pieces with them. Silver wire, macrame, strung & beaded... coming soon. I'll be listing my pieces for sale too - keep an eye on my website for those pieces.

Oh, I almost forgot. I have a few videos that I plan to put out there again. The Sculpted Rose; Rose Murrini, the Forward Facing Rose, 3'd Hummingbirds and more. I'll be working on my site to get it back up to par and it will include the videos for sale as well.

Another year has passed... I haven't given up yet though - I still have the urge to go out and create - just haven't found the time yet. Maybe this will be the year I get back to it!

Super busy with new venture... first the Food Truck, now a restaurant. The good thing is that we'll have plenty of people in place to run things and I should have at least a full day out of the week where I can enjoy myself and create beads again! Keeping fingers crossed it works out that way! I'll keep you posted.

Just wanted to drop in to let you all know that I'm hoping to get back to beads... this is still my passion - what I want and love to do, and I plan on picking it back up as soon as possible and offering up some fresh new designs. I'll be back!!!

Wow - sorry I've been mia for a while. Been busy with my new business, and it keeps me away from fb most of the time. (probably a good thing!). Anyway, I have some beads that are sitting in my box and I'm hoping to get a little time to post a couple. I haven't even been able to look at my studio in over a month now, so beads just aren't coming out of it like they used to. When I post them - you'll want to grab them - they could be among the last ones I make!
