Vigor coach Markus Cook fired just after appearing at morning workout By ARTHUR L. MACK Vigor High School head football coach Markus Cook was fired Thursday, according to the Mobile County Public School System. “Today, Markus Cook was relieved of head football coaching duties at Vigor High School,” MCPSS director of communications Rena Philips said in a statement....

Crossville High School will have football again after not having it last year.

Coach Jason Walker was promoted to head football coach at Thursdays Dekalb County Board of Education meeting. Coach Walker has been the Strength and Conditioning Coach at Crossville Schools for the last year where he has worked with student-athletes from 6-12th grades. Crossville did not lose its football, it only dropped down to JV, and will continue to be a JV Program through the 2025-2026 season.

The football team will begin their summer program on Monday June 3 with the option of two workouts: 7:00 am or 6:00 pm.
