Material Cultures: Architect Ricardo Bofill's La Muralla Roja (The Red Wall) building pays respect to the geographical location with its use of colour and structure. Set between Spain and Arab Mediterranean area.

These lovely little Christmas wreaths are definitely meant for the main stage, hanging all year round. They are too pretty to only make an appearance once a year!

Lighting is one of the most important things to consider when laying out a room, and not just the design of the fixture, but the color of the light as well. A study from the Journal of Consumer Psychology reported a link between emotion and ambient brightness. Feelings of warmth increased when participants were exposed to bright light with hints of reddish hues. A sensation of angst increased when bluer light dominated. And the brighter the light, the more intense the participants’ emotions became. Both the intensity and the color of the light affected people’s moods. 🌈⭐

Josef Albers (1888- 1976) from New Haven, Conn., was a painter, poet, sculptor, teacher, and innovator of styles such as Colour Field painting and Op art.
