Introduced Gus to Barnhunt today and he is a natural. Barnhunt is a sport that teaches the dog to use their natural abilities to hunt for rodents. They will use their nose and hearing to search through a maze of straw or other obstacles and find a rodent (protected by a PVC tube) (NO RODENTS HARMED!) since Gus likes to use his nose and has wonderful drive to work this sport suits him well. The trainer who has been doing this for many years told me he is a natural and he will excel fast.
