Marvelmas - Miniature American Shepherds

A very sad day, with the closure of the AKC Miniature American Shepherd studbook confirmed.

Feeling extremely fortunate to have finalised and completed the breedings we did this year.

We have unexpected availability in Little Red. She was due to head to Europe, but due to a change of heart from her anticipated home she is now available again. If you have contacted us about her previously and are still interested, please reach out again. We will also be accepting new interest for her.

🏹 Huntsman - Black tricolor male, white blaze, strong tan

Huntsman reminds us so much of his granddad Chase. He’s a small but solid boy, with chunky tree trunk legs and the softest expression. He has coat for days and gets serious bed head in the mornings!

Like the rest of his littler, he’s a super friendly guy, who is sociable and enjoys being around people and other dogs. He has a lot of chase drive, for toys, mops and other puppies and had a really strong tug! He plays nicely with the other puppies and isn’t rough, but if anyone runs he is there joining in, head down, jet packs at the ready, bombing after them.

He has a constant smile on his face, he’s always a happy little puppy and is also really good at manding. Quite often you’ll find him sitting at your feet looking up at you.

Huntsman, affectionately known as Wolfie, would do equally well in a show, or active pet home. He would enjoy a sport to focus on. We estimate this litter to be at the smaller end of the breed standard.

🐍 Venom - Black tricolor male, minimal white, minimal tan

**Warning, if you like Spider… look away now!**
Venom our tiny boy in the litter. He is a mini version of his mom structurally and has her feistiness to boot! If you look back at her stacked photos as a puppy… well he matches them. Being the smallest in the household he rough and tumbles just as hard as the others and bolts around the garden and through the long grass when outside despite not seeing over it. He’s spunky and spirited.

He is equally very cuddly and people oriented, and enjoys being carried around. His little tail is always wagging and he gets very excited about visiting new places and seeing new things. He will always be the first to adventure, and is up for anything!

He’ll work really well with his owner as he has such a strong will to please and enjoyment for being included. He likes toys and enjoys parading them around.

He’s got some fun markings, with absolutely no tan on his face he looks like a bicolor puppy up top. But then you spot the tan coming through on his legs. We estimate this litter to be at the smaller end of the breed standard.

🥷 Assassin - Blue merle female, minimal white, tan points

Assassin is the only girl in the Spider litter. She is solid! She’s really well put together with a nice head and lots of rear angulation, with a darkly marked coat. She’s got one blue and one brown eye - my favorite combination, and somehow inherited two perfect white socks, despite both parents being very dark.

This girl is drivey, she loves chase and toy play. She enjoys heading outside and rough and tumbling with her siblings. She’s not a delicate girl! She very spirited and also has her own mind.

She will play tug with vigor, and additionally likes to tug on Prodigy’s tail (one of our adult dogs), although she does stop as soon as he looks her way… ‘It wasn’t me’! She’ll excel with a toy reward and is certainly a quick mover.

She will happily relax when not busy though and likes to sploot! She would do equally well in a show or sporting home.

🕸️ Ambush - Black tricolour male, with smaller blaze, tan points

Ambush was the first to be born in the Spider litter. He’s really nicely put together, with lovely layback and bend of stifle. He moves extremely well.
This litter have the most gorgeous full coats, and Ambush is no exception.

He enjoys going on new adventures and is brave and exploratory, and quickly recovers from any startle experiences we put to the litter. He enjoys going outside, playing with his siblings and our older dogs.

Ambush likes to be picked up, and cuddled. He enjoys his food and also loves a game of tug.

As he grows he’ll likely end up with a white star on his forehead, on an otherwise dark face. With his tan markings on the dark body, and full coat, he’ll look really smart as an adult.

Given his lovely structure, movement and fun, up for anything temperament, he would do equally well in a show, sporting or pet home. He’ll be a fun puppy for someone, who enjoys both toy and treat rewards.

Following selections being made post evaluations, we do have some availability for either show/ breed or active family pet selections in our current litters (Monarch x Grimm, or Spider x Patron).

🧵Rumpelstiltskin - from the Monarch x Grimm litter at 7 weeks old

Rumpy, the only boy in the litter. He’s a total clown, very much a happy go lucky, snuggly, bubbly boy. Rumpy enjoyed taking part in the movement evaluations and does a fantastic blue steel pose! He loves a bit of toy play too and even though it was in the high 90s F when we did these evaluations he was still happy to play a game of tug and have a bounce around. His favorite activity though is laying upside down in your arms.

🧺 Little Red - from the Monarch x Grimm litter at 7 weeks old

Little Red, our red bicolor girl. She’s a really smart looking puppy, with her dazzling blue eyes and dramatic red and white coloring. She has a sweet nature and thinks situations through nicely. She won’t go leaping off a cliff just because others do! Like her siblings she’s easygoing, and settles well. She’s less busy than Briar Rose, but more driven than Maleficent, so is a nice middle ground who would suit the majority of homes. Oh, I forgot to mention… she has naughty spots… these have clearly come down from Billy via Monarch, which is amusing as those relatives have incredibly sweet and willing to please natures.

🍭 Gretel - from the Monarch x Grimm litter at 7 weeks old

Because I’m happppyyyyyy… Gretel is a total poppet. She’s always ‘smiling’ and happily trotting around seeing what she can get involved in. She has lovely movement and focuses on the job in hand, even when there’s distractions around her. She was a total pro when asked to trot back and forth for the movement evaluations - we took her onto the lane and she got straight to work! She was equally as happy to stop and pose for some pretty outdoor photos.

🔮 Maleficent - from the Monarch x Grimm litter at 7 weeks old

Definitely one of the most straightforward and easygoing puppies we’ve produced. She’s a ‘been here and seen it all before’ sort of puppy. Little Maleficent likes to sit and watch the world go by, laying at your feet, with her siblings, or out and about. She’s so relaxed in all environments. This puppy has manding nailed and is incredibly polite when waiting for food or to be picked up. Manners - she just naturally oozes great puppy manners.

🌹 Briar Rose - from the Monarch x Grimm litter at 7 weeks old

This little lady always enjoys her photo sessions, but particularly enjoyed heading out to the lane for her movement evaluations and photos. As you can see she had a blast strutting her stuff, bouncing around, posing like a pro, and relaxing in the grass.

🧵 Rumpelstiltskin - Red merle male, white blaze, tan points

Then there’s Rumpy (as he’s known), a typical loving , snuggly, goofy boy, who finds everything in the world exciting and fun! This boy is very happy-go-lucky, he loves all people and dogs. Enjoys being carried upside down and sung to. He’s a marshmallow in a puppy body. He’s also smart, and a good mover who would do equally well in a show, sporting or pet home. He’ll be a fun puppy for someone, who enjoys both toy and treat rewards.

🧺 Little Red - red bicolor female, white blaze

Little Red is oh so sweet! She likes to be picked up and carried, but don’t let her cuteness fool you, there’s naughty spots on that face! Like her red sister, Little Red is a cool mix of parents, with a white full blaze, blue eyes and no tan. She enjoys playing with the other puppies, exploring new toys and posing for photos. She’d do well in a family, show or sporting home and is easygoing.

🍭 Gretel - blue merle female, split face, small white blaze

Gretel is a really fun, sweet puppy. Confident in all environments, and has nice movement for her age. She enjoys her cuddles and likes to climb on people’s laps. She’s got a cool split face with black on one side and merle on the other that we often see coming down from Yondu (great grandfather). She’s a trier and puts her all into everything she does.

🔮 Maleficent - black bi female, very minimal white

Maleficent is laid back and easygoing. She’s a perfect family dog, who will go anywhere and do anything including settle when out and about. She takes to new surroundings with ease. She’s eager to please and always has a happy waggy tail. She’s extremely food motivated so will be easy to train with food rewards. With no tan on her, she’ll be a stiking adult dog.

🌹 Briar Rose - red tri female, minimal white

This girl is sweet as can be and enjoys being active. She adores playing with all the musical toys we have and isn’t worried by any new noises. She’s a great mix of her parents with her mom’s blue eyes and coloring, and having minimal white like her dad. She’d be a fun sporting prospect or active companion for any home.
