Bike Rodeo Safety and Health Fair
UF Health Shands Children's Hospital's Bike Rodeo Safety and Health Fair is this Saturday, April 6 9:00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m at UF Health Professional Park! This community event will feature interactive games, music, free bike helmets, free refreshments, a free bicycle rodeo and much more for children of all ages. We will also have over 20 local community organizations sharing helpful tips on ways to keep children safe and healthy this summer. Children will also have the opportunity to win a new bicycle! Join us tomorrow and also follow us here on Facebook throughout the day to keep up with the fun!

Did you know that an estimated 15 million babies worldwide are born too early every year? The NICU Family Support Program at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital is participating in World Prematurity Day. Our staff and the community are bringing awareness to premature births and the challenges babies and families face each day by providing helpful resources to families, sharing their support by wearing purple ribbons or in some cases turning their lights purple (Thank you, Hotel Eleo and the NICU Staff) and donating helpful items to families and babies facing the difficult journey of premature birth.

Even our smallest of patients from our NICU joined in on the costume fun yesterday to celebrate their first Halloween! Special thanks to the March of Dimes NICU Family Support Program for providing such cute, tiny costumes! Hope everyone had a safe and fun #Halloween!
