Calling all VIPs! Make 'M Smile is the biggest party of the year designed especially for YOU! This event celebrates amazing kids and adults with all kinds of special needs – physical, cognitive, medical, hidden disabilities, chronic illnesses, and more!

Hi everyone! So we are in process of planning an event for kids with special needs for August in Gastonia, NC, Make M Smile North Carolina. We are looking for recommendations for what we call Smile Makers. Any recommendations are definitely appreciated. You can comment below or message me privately. I will be contacting any recommendations received.

A Smile Maker is any non-profit group, individual, church, organization, or school that provides non-professional entertainment. Smile Maker Examples Include:

• High School / College Sports Teams

• Church Puppet Teams

• Character groups

• Drama groups

• Clowns

• Face-painters

• Singing groups

• and MORE

MAKE ‘m SMILE, is the Biggest Party that celebrates kids and adults with all types of disabilities…our VIPs! It is filled with family entertainment, games, characters, food, helpful resources from the community and tons of SMILES!

Welcome to Buddy Break Gastonia! We are located at First Assembly of God Gastonia in their educational building. We have been in operation since August of 2022.

We provide respite services for kids with special needs ages 2-16 and their families 1 Saturday a month, usually the 2nd week, from 930am to 1230pm. There is a short registration process each kid must undergo before they can join our waitlist. Completing the registration process does not guarantee a spot every month but gets the child on the waitlist for open spots when they become available. Each kid will be paired up with a 1 on 1 Buddy for the time they are with us. Therefore open spots for kids each month is dependent on how many Buddies we have available that month. We would love for you to join our program!
