Description..WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM FRIDAY TO 7 PM EST SATURDAY...

WHAT...Heavy snowfall and significant impacts from blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 10 to 15 inches, with potential for localized accumulations approaching 20 inches. East to northeast winds gusting as high as 55 mph Friday evening and overnight. Winds turning more north to northwest Saturday, gusting to 25 to 35 mph.

WHERE...Portions of Northern Lower Michigan.

WHEN...From 4 PM Friday to 7 PM EST Saturday.

IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday evening / overnight and Saturday commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Activity transitions to lake effect snow showers later Saturday afternoon into Saturday night.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
