I put this in my story the other day but I wanted to share it here too.

This is our beautiful, statuesque, client Colleen. I mean, how gorgeous is she?!

To say that I was humbled and honored that she asked for help picking her wedding dress, the most important dress she’ll ever wear, is the understatement of the decade!

It’s hard to quantify your value as a stylist. I mean it’s not like I’m selling “x” amount of products that has a “metric of success”. But. When you work with a person, style them, get to know them, become friends…..and you get asked for help with such a momentous selection…that’s success! LOL.

And ya’ll. Wait ‘til I get to show her in her dress. Like. WOW. Old school Hollywood glam. She is breathtaking in it!

Oh ya, and I got a wedding invite too?! Yup, I’m there. The amazing people I get to work with, this is one of the MANY reasons I love my job.

This gown needed a bit of "cosmetic surgery!"

It was a sample gown, purchased off the rack. It had missing beading, a sequence edge bottom that was coming off, the veil had missing beading, etc.

BUT...ENTER ME! I got this beauty looking BRAND NEW! I replaced all the beading, removed the sequin edge bottom trim, repaired the veil, gave it a hem, bustle, closed the front plunge, etc.

My point is...if you find a sample gown off the rack in rough shape, but it's your dream dress...BUY THE GOWN! You will get it for an amazing price and a good seamstress can bring it back to life!

Fun couple of days. I got to spend yesterday with London & Saeedah at the store and although it was busy as heck...we had a blast! Got to assist a BUNCH of happy brides, saw a bunch of & did some spring cleaning! Today, a few final fittings at my own salon, an emergency visit to someone's wedding and a visit back to Coreena's...crazy, FUN weekend!
