We will again be holding an in person Seabadge course (Seabadge-75-IL-2024). This course will be held at Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia from October 10-13. Below is the link for registration and more info can be found on the registration site. I would also like to add that all participants will be sleeping in a dorm style facility with electricity and hot showers, all meals will be served in a dining hall. There will also be an opportunity to participate in some of the activities offered by Summit Bechtel Reserve such as the Big Zip. There will be an additional small fee for these activities. Members of the SB-70-NY-2023 staff created and delivered a Shadow box to Summit to be hung on the walls of Pigott Classroom. The abox contains all the Course Crew Flags and photos as well as course patches.

I would like to send a huge congratulations to Jeanina Boone aka Nina, this past weekend she completed her time as a Course Director for Seabadge-74-NY-2024. The course was phenomenal and the participants departed with many more tools for their scouting tool box. Nina selected an amazing staff to make this another great experience for all the participants. She has staffed many course over the years and has held every position on the course. I would like to say thank you from all the staff for your leadership and guidance resulting in one of the best courses.

Great news, we are preparing for the next Seabadge course in October at Summit Bechtel Reserve.

My scout unit has some openings for our Summer 2024 Swamp Base Trek down in Louisiana. We have openings for Scouts and adults. Scouts must be between the ages of 13 and 20 at the start of the Trek. The Trek is from June 25-July 7, 2024. The fee is $1,350.00 per person and covers, all meals on way down and back, fuel as we drive down and back, lodging on way down and back, museum and other location visits, a gift in New Orleans as well as a gift from scout store at Swamp Base plus a water bottle and trek shirt. The fee also covers the Swamp Base Trek fee itself. This is my 3rd trip to Swamp Base, and I love it. It is one of the most beautiful places I have been. The staff is beyond amazing as well. While participating in Seabadge at the Summit participants and staff will be eating at one of the amazing dining halls located at Summit.

Summit is an amazing place and has so much program to offer. Those attending Seabadge at the Summit will have an opportunity to participate in some program such as Climbing.
