Happy Wednesday! As fall season approaches this brings on fair season and as well as many horse shows, and also a very exciting time for Dr Rigdon as he and Lyndsay will be ringing the wedding bells very very soon. If you are in need of health papers for the livestock shows please contact the office via text and we will advise on how we need to go about getting these done. We need to also let everyone know that at this time Dr Rigdon is not taking on new clients until further notice. We are currently booking mid to late October at this time. If you need to schedule an appointment, please expect this time frame when you call.
Hey everyone! This is Dr. Brad. I just wanted to remind everyone that I will be out of town and unavailable August 16th- August 25th. If you have an emergency during this time, please contact UF Large Animal Hospital at 352-392-2229. Thank you so much for your understanding as we enjoy some time away from this demanding profession. We will return to normal business hours on Monday August 26th. Have a great week!
Sometimes Dr.Rigdon has many assistants on a case! 😂 we hope you are all enjoying your Summer. Dr.Rigdon will be on vacation August 17th-24th. Please plan accordingly and give us a call to get an appointment scheduled today. If you need any refills on medications please plan ahead for that as well because the office will also be closed during that time.
As we approach July 4th, I just wanted to let everyone know that the office will be closed in observance of Independence Day. If you are an established client and have an emergency, I will be reachable by phone. Please use the 904-228-6644 number and there will be instructions on the voicemail for emergencies.
I am so grateful to live in the greatest country in the world. Where we have the freedom to worship the Creator of the universe. Thank you to our troops who have fought for this country so that we can enjoy peace and freedom in our everyday lives. I hope that you enjoy time with family celebrating the birth of the United States of America. Happy Independence Day!!

I want to take a moment to show some appreciation to Derek and all of his hard work. After I started my practice in August of 2021, I soon made the decision to hire Derek as full time veterinary technician. Since that time, the practice has grown, as well as my relationship with Derek as a brother and coworker. Derek has poured countless hours into the practice to help make it a success. He has been with me from those early days of starting the practice. Over the last 3 years, he has played many roles and is always willing to take on any task that is thrown at him. Any veterinarian knows that having the right technician is critical to being successful. Derek is always one step ahead of me when we are working with clients or patients. He knows how to make the day flow smoother, how to make my job easier, how to handle difficult patients, and most importantly how to keep both of us safe. I am so grateful for all that he has done!
I wanted to let everyone know that Derek’s time with Rigdon Veterinary Services is coming to a close. No, we didn’t get in an argument haha! But the Lord has opened a door for him to pursue a different path. I am beyond excited for Derek as he enters his new journey, but I am also very sad to not have him on the truck any longer. His last day will be on Friday, April 12th! I will miss his assistance and I will miss that time together in the truck as brothers and friends. So as we approach Derek’s last week, please help me thank him for all he has done! Derek, you will be missed!
-Dr. Brad
Happy Birthday to our very own Dr. Rigdon. Thank you for all you do to help the animals and owners in our community. We hope you have the most amazing day.
Thank you to Rigdon Veterinary Services for checking all our animals! And, as an added bonus, he confirmed Cocoa is holding 2 hostages. One more kidding to go!

Also, think ahead on health certificates that will also be needed during this time. Thank you and have a blessed Christmas season.
Good Monday Morning! It's so hard for me to believe that we are almost to November. As I sit here working on the schedule, I realize we have very few spots available for next month. I wanted to get on here and let everyone know that we are booking mostly in December now. Don't procrastinate if you know you need an appointment. As we completed our second lap around the sun, I scrolled back to find the very first post that I made whenever I created this page. Never did I dream that this post would have been shared nearly 500 times. This profession comes with good times, bad times, and times of feeling burnt out with no time to slow down. Yet, I am so grateful for each and every one of our clients! Thank you for allowing our team to keep your livestock happy and healthy! Thank you for giving us two great years with hopes of many more to come! I have met so many great people through this endeavor and I am thankful for each of those relationships.
Our office will be closed starting the 19th of August- the 26th of August. Please keep this in mind and go ahead and make the appointments necessary and order what meds you may need to prior to this time. Also, as time draws near and sicknesses arise don’t hesitate to call and get your animals seen if necessary, prior to our closing. Thank you and we appreciate all of you. Have a great week !
Happy Independence Day!! I am so thankful for the freedom that we get to enjoy as citizens of this great country. Thank you to all the men and women that have served and fought for our freedom.
Just a reminder that our office is closed today, but we will have normal office hours the rest of this week. Enjoy celebrating our freedom with your friends and family. I hope everyone has a great, safe holiday!!
Happy Friday!! Dr. Brad wanted to remind everyone that we now have a portable squeeze chute that can be brought to your farm! This allows us to safely handle and work your cattle while minimizing their stress. All you need is a sturdy pen to catch your cattle in, and we can handle the rest! Give us a call for additional details 904-228-6644.
