Happy Wednesday!
Having a wishful Wednesday morning upon seeing this throwback picture. I miss my family in the Philippines,
wishing we could spend time with them again.

Wishes are desires we hold in our hearts praying they will happen. God makes things happen in His beautiful time. I trust and believe that He knows the wishes we hold in our hearts.

When I was a child we had a water pitcher on our dining table with a quote printed on it, "God blesseth a grateful heart". Whenever I use it to pour water into my glass, I reread it, and gradually became my personal mantra until this day. My family showed me and my brother how to be grateful and was extended through their generosity to others. Generosity was bestowed on us because of their generosity.

As I begin this year with new hopes and perspectives, I'd like to be creative in practicing gratitude. www.mindoverlatte.com shared monthly gratitude challenges that I would like to take and share with you.

This is an inspiring story about our importance as individuals and how courage and humility can define the fulfillment of our dreams.

The Pencil Maker took the pencil aside, just before putting him into the box.

“There are 5 things you need to know,” he told the pencil, “Before I send you out into the world. Always remember them and never forget, and you will become the best pencil you can be.”

One: “You will be able to do many great things, but only if you allow yourself to be held in someone’s hand.”

Two: “You will experience a painful sharpening from time to time, but you’ll need it to become a better
pencil.”

Three: “You will be able to correct any mistakes you might make.”

Four: “The most important part of you will always be what's inside.”

And Five: “On every surface you are used on, you must leave your mark. No matter what the condition, you must continue to write.”

The pencil understood and promised to remember, and went into the box with purpose in its heart.

Now replacing the place of the pencil with you as individual. Always remember them and never forget, and you will become the best person you can be.

One: “You will be able to do many great things, but only if you allow yourself to be held in God’s hand. And allow other human beings to access you for the many gifts you possess.”

Two: “You will experience a painful sharpening from time to time, by going through various problems in life, but you’ll need it to become a stronger person.”

Three: “You will be able to correct any mistakes you might make.”

Four: “The most important part of you will always be what’s on the inside.”

And Five: “On every surface you walk through, you must leave your mark. No matter what the situation, you must continue to do your duties.”

Allow this parable on the pencil to encourage you to know that you are a special person and only you can fulfill the purpose to which you were born to accomplish.

2021 brought a lot of CHALLENGES including losing my dad but it also brought me COURAGE to do much more and to get better. Whatever happened, they happened for a reason. And whatever I wasn’t able to achieve last year, 2022 is here giving me a new hope, a new opportunity and another chance. God has blessed me with many things including this business to fulfill our and others dreams. I paused and now I am ready to move forward.

I saw this quote printed on a hamper and gave me some thoughts. Thanksgiving is an occasion to look at our loads and be thankful for whatever they are. Each load happens for a reason. Each load should make us stronger and wiser…

As I sort my life one load at a time, I am more grateful of what life brings me each day and every day.
