Born in 1890 in Hagerstown, Indiana, he lost his sight in an accident at age five. Undeterred, Teetor pursued mechanical engineering and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1912.

Only 56 original Spyders were ever made, making them incredibly rare and expensive. Given the film’s limited budget, a genuine $300,000 Ferrari was out of reach.
