Kendra's Korner Up-Cycled Treasures

I had been working on this thrifted piece for a couple of weeks now. It’s a two door wood cabinet with a shelf inside. Perfect for storing cozy blankets in or family board games. I painted it black and kept the inside natural because the wood colors were so cool. I sanded the top and stained it a dark Kona and sealed. I put two refurbished copper k***s to accent the inside colors. It turned out so nice!! It’s available at The Vintage Farm House in downtown Holly, MI. Booth #383. Notice the mirror that I finished a few weeks ago? It compliments the cabinet so perfect!!

The Vintage Farm House is open today and all weekend!! So go get your shop on!! So much good stuff!!

I stopped at a few yard sales today on my way home from work. I’m sure I missed all the good stuff but this is what I did find and a book for Kolten 😊. I spent $10

Check out my collection of Bundt pans, they have a Fall color vibe going. I like it.

I’ve been working on this mirror for awhile. It’s a heavy mirror with a white painted plastic frame. After cleaning, I painted the frame red, then a metallic copper over that. Then a coat of clear wax and then a coat of black wax then wiped back to give dimension. Average Joe rebuilt the back board for me because the other backing had water damage. So this mirror was rebuilt and refinished into a beautiful piece.

Hey friends!! This week I’m on vacation with Average Joe's wood working in Ireland!!! This city is so cool to explore and we have so much more to see!! I will be back to crafting next week but in the meantime it’s sightseeing, food, drinks and fun!!

I finished these adorable magazine/book holders today. Before they were an ugly brown and I painted, transferred images then sealed all over. They will be at my next event Michigan Antique & Collectible Festivals May 4 & 5th.

Reveal day!!!!! Remember this old clock I got at an auction?? I up cycled it into this!! A bird house!! Some bird is going to love this beautiful and spacious piece of real estate for their family 🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛🪺🪺comes with beautiful decor and a spacious bay window to clean out the old nest. This bird mansion won’t last long! SOLD!! To me, 😁, I’m keeping it….

Happy Friday everyone!! I wanted to share this little flip. I was given this small side table and although it was already cute the way it was it had some imperfections and it was missing a piece of side trim. So I gave it a makeover!!! Haha…. I painted the base a dark pink and distressed. I decoupaged the top with a matching floral paper and distressed it too. Then, in place of the missing side piece, I created a dangly welcome sign. It would be super cute on the front porch or in a front entry with a big plant setting on top welcoming your guests. “Love It”

I got this cool antique clock at an auction. It doesn’t have a back and the insides have been taken out so it can’t be fixed to work. It’s missing a couple of accents too. I’m going to up cycle this clock into something really neat. Stay tuned and I’ll post the results of my finished project in a few days.
