Leveling clips=Hollow tiles. A true tile setter will not use these. It’s Going to be a major issue in a few years in all these homes/ projects when the grout starts cracking and tiles crack. Concept is good and it works for sure but you just got to have full contact in order to achieve solid/sound tiles. This entitles the contractor to notch thinset on both the floor and tile. If people are showing up and they just install thinset and clips, es**rt them off your project immediately. I’m seeing more and more of these each year and it’s sad that in a few years time it will eventually fail.

Clarkston home. Whole first floor got hardwood floors. 7”wide plank Engineered 7/16”(glue assist and nailed down). Front entry got a checkerboard true marble tile (12”x12” ) on a 45 degree. Laundry room got 12x24 tile on a herringbone. All floors are one height as well throughout. More photos to come once their final finishes are done.

Goodrich project. Floor tile got 12x24 tile on a 1/3 stagger. Shower walls got 12x24 tile on a 1/3 stagger. Shower floor and bench got pebble tile. Couple corner brushed nickel shelves. A solid piece of marble for the curb. Tile edges got brushed nickel schluters. Permacolor grout used throughout with grout once additive.

Lapeer home. Once again forgot to take before pictures! Where the shower is at now, it used to be a coat closet on the other side. Shower walls got 4x12 tile brick laid. Penny tiles on the floor/ niche. Schluter to cap the edges off. Floor got 12x24 tile on a herringbone.

Flash from the past! Heat weld vinyl. Haven’t done this since Kettering University. It was a blast to go back to what I used to do getting in the flooring business. Floors got Armstrong 6’ goods with a flash cove/ cap. Seams heat welded. Corners for metal sanitary plugs.

Grand Blanc home. Backsplash received a 3x6 subway tile on a brick pattern.

Clarkston home. 12x24 tile on a herringbone ! When you can do the herringbone pattern , do it! Tec power grout used

Grand Blanc Home. Whole ground floor was demoed ( carpet/tile) and the kitchen was gutted. New cabinets installed in the kitchen. All new vinyl click flooring installed. All new baseboards installed. New backsplash. New electrical/ hood fan/ lighting done by Watson’s handyman services, fireplace got shiplap to the ceiling and a custom mantle made. Entry coat closet was demoed and custom cubbies and bench were made.

Gaines project. Two bathrooms demoed to the studs and subfloor. Raised the shower lids to the ceiling for more height. Both bathrooms got the same tile throughout. The shower walls got a 12x24 on a 1/3 brick. The niches got a basketweave mosaic in the back. The shower floors got a triangular tile, the bathroom floors got the 12x24 tile with a herringbone pattern. Palmer plumbing did the water/ drainage/finish. Drywall fixed and new paint applied on both the ceilings and walls ! New vanities and light fixtures.

Instead of work photos all the time I thought this was cute to share this morning! Ella did her first bid with daddy! Her eyes look nervous like she forgot something! Have a blessed day everyone.

Lapeer home. Gutted the master bathroom out. Shower walls got a 15x30 tile installed on a brick pattern. Shower floor and the back of the niche got an octagon tile. Solid marble curb. The Bathroom floor got a 12x24 tile on a herringbone pattern. Rounded schluter to cap off the shower/ niche edges. New cabinets/ trim installed. Palmer plumbing did the plumbing/ fixtures

Saginaw project. 12x24 tile on a 1/3 stagger . Prism grout used.

Grand Blanc home. Master suite. I will get some final photos once glass and fixtures are all set. This is a shower with a freestanding tub to the one side. Shower wall tile and floor tile got 2’x4’ tile. 1/16” joint. Shower floor received octagon tile. Black schluter to cap all the edges. The floor got a heated system installed to ensure warm tiles. All epoxy spectralock grout installed as well!

Burton project. Installed a new backsplash. The tile is a 3”x12” glass tile. Chrome schluter was used to cap off the edges and tops. Tec power grout used

Fenton home project. The Fireplace got a solid stone hearth with stacked cultured stone on the face and on the bottom of the hearth. The backsplash got a 3”x12” subway tile installed brick pattern. The entry/ mudroom/ laundry/ bathroom/ pantry got 12x24 tile on a 1/3 stagger. 1/16” grout joints. Permacolor grout used throughout with grout boost! .

Davison performing arts. This one has been a monster. Not quite done but about 5400 sf installed and completed. The Floor tile got 32”x32” tile straight laid. Expansion joints were installed throughout to allow tile to move without heaving over time. Base tile to match the floor tile. All EFX epoxy grout throughout. Lowell Pletcher and Matt rock … thank you for the grout help! When this one is all completed I will take some final photos. So difficult to get good pictures with temp lights!

Linden project. This space will become a wood burning stove area. The tile was a 3x6 subway tile, installed on a brick lay. The floor was switched up to a herringbone. All black grout ( power grout) and gold rounded schluters to cap it off.

The Concessions and the coat closets for Davison performing arts. The area received 12x24 tile on a 1/3 brick. The Main corridor is next!!! Base was installed and all topped off with efx epoxy grout.

Davison performing arts facility. 1st and 2nd floor gang bathrooms and single bathrooms. The wall tile got a black 4x16 ( crackled/wavy) WOW tile. The floors received 12x24 tile on a 1/3 stagger. All tec efx epoxy grout used throughout.

Grand front entryway in the Commerce home renovation project. We removed the old 12x12 tile and mud bed throughout the area. Installed new travertine tile ( pattern) throughout the area/ space. To make it pop, we used an Enhancer on both the tile and grout to seal it all up and make a wet look/shine appearance . This one’s finished ✅ !

Commerce home. This one I did before pictures unlike all the other projects I do! This shower was actually remodeled a few years ago and was leaking which was the reason for a redo! If your tile contractor says “ no need for goboard or waterproofing roll on membrane/ kirdi membrane don’t hire them! Demoed it to the studs and started over fresh. The Shower walls got a 8x24 marble tile on a brick lay. Two corner shelves. Black pencil trim to case all entryways/ glass windows. Octagon stone on the shower floor. All tile and grout sealed and enhanced to make a wet appearance. The accent band in the main bath was ripped out and new glass /crackled glass tile was installed. Flint glass installed the exact same glass just new tracking!

Commerce project. Gutted the old tile out of the shower and removed the tile floor. The Shower walls and floors got 8x16 travertine with a 1/16 grout joint. A niche with a glass shelf and a corner shelf. Solid curb on threshold. Octagon travertine on the shower floor and niche. The trim is marble trim installed tight to look seamless. All tile and grout enhanced to seal it all up and to also make the coloring stick out of each piece. Vanity installed and glass doors done by Flint Glass of flushing.

New build Fenton home. The master bathroom got a 12x24 tile on a 1/3 brick. A stone waterfall along with a stone shower floor ( all placed individually so not gaps/ cuts). Rounded Schluter along the edges to cap it off. A Mega niche with 2x2 mosaics to give some pop. Hooks installed as well. The soaker tub accent got the same tile as the shower walls for a feature wall. The Master floor got the strata heat mat with a heat system so floors are always warm on their feet! The floors got Hardwood tile ( two different sizes) staggered at a 1/3. The kids got the subway tile on the surround on a 1/3 stagger. The niche got the sweet flower accent! The floor got the hardwood tile as well on a 1/3 stagger. All permacolor grout with grout once throughout!
