I have had a great first semester so far at UNK, but I’ve missed painting holiday signs! With my Thanksgiving Break coming up next week, I have some time to take a limited amount of holiday orders! They will be fulfilled over next week and will most likely be the only chance if you want them in time for a Christmas gift. I can do any sign you would like, it doesn’t have to be just Christmas!

From starting this business at 13 years old to now making signs for dorm rooms— we’ve come a long way!

I started Fab Front Door five years ago, and it has been my only real “job” throughout high school. For the last five years, my dad has cut each shape out of wood, I have painted them, and my mom creates each bow. They have been a huge part of making this business run!

This week I will be moving to UNK to pursue a degree in Advertising and Public Relations with a minor in Visual Communication and Design. I will be taking a step back from Fab Front Door during college, but I’m hoping it isn’t forever!

I have improved soooo much since I was 13, learned a lot about running a business, and figured out I want to stay in this field for my career! Thank you so much to everyone that has supported me!! Fab Front Door is signing off💗 (for now!!😉)

We just sent off all 116 door hangers for the northwest fundraiser!!🤯 The students should be reaching out in the coming weeks with your sign. This was an awesome opportunity for me AND show choir and i’m so thankful to everyone that supported it💗

I am so excited for this fundraiser! As a recent Northwest alumni with many friends in the show choir program, this is a great way to support the students!

These three signs were selected and will be ready for everyone in the beginning of August. Just in time for back to school with the Vikings or for the beginning of Husker season! Or an adorable option if you’re looking for something to last all year round. Each are $45.

And now for a little life update…

I graduated high school last month and have been enjoying my summer break. I will be attending UNK in the fall to pursue a degree in Advertising and Public Relations with a minor in Visual Communication and Design!!💙💛 This summer I plan on making as much inventory as I can in order to come back this fall to attend the Northwest Craft Show. I am taking orders ALL SUMMER if you have been itching for a new sign!!! Fab Front Door may be slowing down this fall but it isn’t going anywhere!🤩

today was a HUGE success!! thank you to everyone that came to support me at the craft show! we came with over 70 signs of inventory, and ended with just 7!!! we also took orders that will be fulfilled in the coming weeks. ALSO, the seven signs didn’t sell were just brought into west anna boutique!! if you didn’t get a chance to come to the craft show, you’re in luck💗 you can go shop downtown!😊

A couple things to know if you’re planning on coming tomorrow…
-Everything is priced from $30-$35
-I will be accepting venmo, cash, or check. My venmo is @ RachelOstdiek if you want to add me before then!
-Inventory is first come first serve. In this past, things go very quickly in the morning. If there’s something you want, come early!!
-I will also be accepting orders that will be completed before Christmas! If you can’t find what you wanted or you want something custom, I will take an order!

it’s that time of the year again!!!❤️ The Northwest Craft Show is quickly approaching and we are so excited to be back in person this year. I have been preparing so many fun signs that I will be sharing over the next two weeks. I hope to see you at Northwest High School from 9-3 on November 20th! Below I have shared a sneak peak of some brand new signs I am bringing tomorrow. I’m really proud of this lineup, it’s much different than anything I’ve brought to a craft show before. Planning for this awkward in-between summer/fall stage has been a super fun challenge and I’m happy with the signs we came up with💗💗

We just got back from a vacation and I am officially finished with my Junior year, I will be a Senior this fall! It was a bit of a struggle these past few months find time for everything, but now that school is out, painting will be my full time job😊

In other exciting news, we will be at Girl’s Night Out at the Buffalo County Fairgrounds this summer! On Wednesday, July 21st from 6-9 PM the Buffalo County Fair is hosting a fun night with pop up vendors and we will be there with inventory to sell signs and take orders!!
