In case you missed it... CHI Health St. Francis, in collaboration with Nebraska Heart Institute, hosted a heart-health education session presented by Cardiologist Dr. Jeffrey King. This educational session discussed “Coronary Artery Disease and Heart Failure: What does this mean? And, what do you need to know?” Check out the video recording of the presentation During the session, Dr. King explored coronary artery disease (CAD) — the most common type of heart disease in the United States. For some people, the first sign of CAD is a heart attack. Over time, CAD can weaken the heart muscle. This may lead to heart failure, a serious condition where the heart can’t pump blood the way it should. Dr. King is a cardiology specialist with more than 26 years of experience in cardiac implantable device procedures, heart conditions and adult congenital heart conditions. He is board-certified and a graduate of University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Medicine. #stfrancisproud #hellohumankindness
