St. Patrick's Day
Happy St. Patrick's Day! This in one of Jen's favorite days, so today she will be working out of the office. She looks forward to seeing you all next week! Here's a few little tidbits about St. Patrick: 1. He was born in Britian in the late 4th century, then was captured and enslaved in Ireland. He escaped and returned home, eventually returning to Ireland as a Christian missionary. 2. While enslaved, he started having dreams and visions of angels and heard the voice of God telling him to convert the Irish people. 3. He is the Patron Saint of Ireland. 4. He used the shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity, which lead to its popularity. ☘ 5 He may or may not have cast all the snakes out of Ireland (there are none there to this day). 6. March 17th is believed to be the day he died and is celebrated as his Feast Day. 5. I'm not really sure why in America we celebrate this holiday with drinking and such because it has nothing to do with St. Patrick's life... Have a happy, safe, joy-filled St. Patrick's Day!
