On Monday February 19,2024 @tdfoundation took 30 students from @grandprairieisd who attend @gphsgophers and @sgpwarriors to Memphis, TN. In honor of black history month our 1st stop was the National Civil Rights Museum @ncrmuseum. Here students were able to witness in person the greatest civil rights story ever told and understand the history being the movements. The next stop would take our students on a college tour of the University of Memphis @uofmemphis. Majority of our students will be first generation college students, this was their first time experiencing the college atmosphere. Students were also able to sit and talk with an admissions counselor about the admissions process to help them get started and on with their next steps.
