Our team completed a renovation project at Railside Golf Course, which involved revamping the kitchen, completely restructuring the dining area/bar, and reconfiguring the existing layout. Additionally, we upgraded the locker rooms and expanded the office space.

Meet Bill!
Bill serves as the manager of our general trades/service division, where he oversees the daily operations and coordinates our teams. Bill and his wife Mary have been married for thirty years. They are both natives of Grand Rapids and have been blessed with four children and three dogs. Carson, a University of Michigan graduate, currently works in Illinois and is planning a wedding for this fall. Davis, a graduate from Hope College, is employed in Grand Rapids .Cassidy is embarking on her journey in nursing as a freshman at the University of Michigan. Dylan is in his sophomore year at Forest Hills Northern High School. Bill's hobbies include spending time with family, engaging in house projects, and going on vacations.
Bill says the best thing about his career is “the opportunity to forge meaningful new relationships, teamwork, and collaborating closely with our crews, subcontractors, and suppliers, who share a common culture and similar values”.
In Bill's words “With Carbon Builders being a startup, it means we have great responsibility to create something very special when it comes to project delivery.”
The most important core value to Bill is “creativity”. “I think this one is key as we look at the various companies in our building and our partners outside. We don’t have to do things “the way we’ve always done them”. We can look at new, creative ways to partner and engage with growing companies”.

Our team has expanded Hidden Creek Apartments club house, introducing a new fitness area, additional space for maintenance, and a new dog wash station. Stay connected for further updates on our progress!

Meet Mike!
Mike was the first employee hired at Carbon Builders. He and his wife reside on the Northeast side of Grand Rapids, where he grew up (go Creston Polar Bears). Together, they have three children, two granddaughters, and two rescue dogs named Ruby and Nico. Mike enjoys several hobbies, including backpacking, attending live music events, and working on house projects.
What Mike likes most about his job is the people.
Carbon Builders to Mike is a where he can grow professionally and personally.
The core value that Mike holds in highest regard is "Be Attentive." This encompasses to him attention to detail, attention to others, and the commitment to performing the best job possible, even in the face of challenges.

Carbon Builders' steel erectors are assembling a 20,000 SF building at 9809 Division, adjacent to Bridge Business Center, for Vision Real Estate Investment. Fabricated by American Buildings, this industrial space will be available for lease options in July 2024.

Railside Golf Club renovation is well underway. Carbon Builders is renovating the kitchen as well as a full renovation for the bar and dining rooms. Interior Design by Kristine Kay Ebright, all finishes have been made and reconstruction to begin soon. The restaurant is scheduled to open in March 2024. Carbon Builders is partnered with many great local subcontractors and vendors to make this happen.
