Ya’ll we HAD to do it. 😇 Purity Culture is a topic that a lot of us have personal experience with from our past. 💍✝️ It’s caused a lot of damage, guilt and shame that is almost impossible to recover from.
Whether you know about purity culture, were a part of purity culture or have no clue, this episode is one to jump into. This is a discussion that NEEDS to keep being had. 🗣 We need more people talking about this to help ease the burden of shame that so many people are carrying today. 👏🏼👏🏼
If you grew up in purity culture, tell us something that was said to you that was harmful/ damaging and how you are letting that go! 👋🏼.

Did you know that segregation was built into our infrastructure 70 years ago and remains there today?!?! 🤬
70 years ago the federal government put a plan in motion to connect America with its major highways. This plan also included disrupting minority communities and building barriers (large highways) to keep them from accessing better parts of the city around them. 😩
There are M A N Y negative side effects of this including, destruction of houses and entire communities, medical illnesses from increased traffic in certain communities and loss of access to life enriching activities.
You’ve got to listen to this weeks episode to learn what was done. It’s so wrong. President Biden is supposedly planning to address a lot of these issues with his 2 trillion dollar bill to rebuild some of these structures. What do you all think? Will America get this right and change this? 🤔

🚨 New Episode Alert 🚨
We didn’t want to let this week go by without talking about how tense the continual racial injustices happening in America have made daily life for many of us. 😞
This week we’re discussing the Daunte Wright murder and the increasing hate crimes happening to the AAPI community.
The only way we can do better and get better is to listen, believe and learn. We’ve got to keep shining a spotlight on these issues because these are valuable lives we are losing and harming.

This week we did a mash up. 🥸 Beth found two fun topics to talk about. They don’t go together, but we did it anyway because we don’t follow rules. ✊🏼.
Up first is a medium article that goes over 20 micro habits to include in your every day life. Guaranteed to make your life better over time. 🧐 Play along with us as we read each one and give a “yay” or “nay” as to wether we would implement this easy change into our every day lives. It’s fun, you’re gonna love it.
Next is a sweet little scientific study by the British Medical Journal called “the male idiot theory” or MIT for short. 🥳 Sometimes the internet finds me and I just follow. - Beth.
Drop us a comment on why you thought was really funny about this weeks episode. 🖊

Oh yes we did cover the Oprah, Meghan, Harry interview. 👑.
There’s really a lot to unpack here and dive into. Some serious allegations and claims were made. 💥 So much so that we had to do it in two episodes.
Head to our podcast now to listen to our coverage of this explosion interview. And can I just says Piers Morgan 👎🏼
