Oh hi!

Maybe you’ve noticed that I disappeared. Or maybe not I needed a break from posting…actually! We’re all friends here, right? The honest answer is that I needed to make time for myself and my family.

It’s no secret that managing the socials of a small business is extremely draining and most of the time really frustrating. It takes a lot of time and energy, more than you would think. Back when I started Heirloom, the main goal was to bring in enough to allow me to be home with my kiddos. Before I left my full time job I was constantly on calls and working from home. I wanted to be able to be more present with my family and be able to prioritize my health. BUT if I commit to something I want it to be something I’m proud of. This has been my biggest obstacle over the last year. Making Heirloom what I dream about in my head while also being super mom to my kids. A truly impossible task 😅

Then, summer break started haha and everything got crazy. I want to grow my business and have a notebook full of ideas. I see other businesses doing a lot of events because it’s nice outside. I feel like either way I lose sometimes. Either I lose focus on my business or I feel like I’m not being the mom I want to be. And I know I’m not the only Mom who battles with this!

So, the last month I have been soaking up summer with my family. Taking trips, planing play dates, swimming and making all the memories.

I’ve intentionally slowed down a little bit with events through August but plan to be back at it in the fall when school starts up 😊 if you’ve read this far, thanks! I hope this resonates with other working moms and is a reminder that you’re not alone in the never ending battle of motherhood and work balance.

In the meantime, I’ll be posting a few events I have coming up that I’m SO excited about!! I just placed a massive charm bar order that I will share soon. 💕

Fernweh is celebrating their 2nd Anniversary on 6/14. They are one of my favorite boutiques, so I was SO excited they asked me to be a part of their celebration. I’ll be set up with Permanent Jewelry + Charm Bar from 3-6.
