Hi, it’s me, Sabryna 👋🏽 I’m still here .. just hiding away in the midst of chaos that a move brings! Did I mention that we bought a freaking house?! 🏡 A whole ass house!!??

I’ve been SUPER quiet on here, and to be honest, lately the spark of creating has gone away. Like as in the last few months 😔

I still want to show up for my paisclayco community. I still want to create earrings that you get excited to buy and wear. But I’m scared af that the excitement of my shop was so 2021. So, PLEASE help me, and tell me what you love about my jewelry, what you want to see more of, and styles you’re loving this year!?

I started my business with the intention of creating jewelry when clay became a popular art medium during the pandemic. But I only fooled myself because I realized that was not why I started. I started my business as a way to become aware of, unpack, and see my grief. To heal, to celebrate, and to honor my mom.

Today makes 7 years since we lost her. Holding space for grief, happiness, joy, and love is something that I’ve had to learn to carry and allow them to coexist at the same time. To befriend. To sit with. To hold. To allow it to take up space in my life.

My mom loved jewelry. She ALWAYS wore something sparkly and colorful. They always seemed to match her beautiful smile and big brown eyes. She taught me how to love earrings. We would shop the clearance sections at Kohls and JCPenny and score the best deals. We would share our jewelry and I remember sneaking into her room to put them on. I lost a few pairs and definitely lied about it.

I will never forget the strange, out of body, feeling of going through her stuff. Out of everything, I took two pairs of earrings. I haven’t yet been able to wear them, but I know one day I’ll have the courage to put them on.

Paisclayco is a representation of her. Of her life. Of her memory. Of all she was.

That feeling when you open a package you’ve been waiting for in the mail just to see how cute and intentional it is 🥹📫

Our packaging has come a LONGGG way, but what has remained a core principle is using eco-friendly and sustainable options like zero plastic, curbside recyclable mailers, paper packaging tape, and reusable bags for your jewelry (please use it! It’s actually super convenient).

It’s still Pride Month which means it’s still time to shop all things Pride 🏳️‍🌈

This flag color scheme was a special request from a friend to wear to a pride festival in Chicago - so might as well make it available to shop! 🌈
