Is fear a good thing or bad thing?🤔 Is it something to embrace or to flee? It seems like everyone is talking about a culture of fear. We fret about global terrorism, extreme weather, pandemics, and political turmoil. In political campaigns, we routinely see fear rhetoric used by politicians because fear drives voting patterns. In our digitalized world, the speed at which information is disseminated means that we are flooded with more causes of worry than ever. But what if there was a type of fear that leads us to trust God more freely, to worship him more exclusively, to follow him more faithfully? The Gospel is a strange paradox in that it both frees us from fear and gives us fear.
