A little bit about me...I have been in the industry since 1994, I have been an educator in various areas and have held management and ownership positions. I am currently an Artistic Educator with the Matrix division of L'Oreal as well as working behind the chair in the salon. I'm OUT. Attending a training. It's in a different time zone which means my schedule will be all jacked up on my end, so I will be doing nothing with my schedule until I get back to Grand Rapids. But please continue to schedule accordingly things will be normal on the client side. I will return all messages when I am back!

Join me on my new journey!
As many of you know, I have planned to relocate my salon to my home. This was my goal for October of 2023. But we kept coming up on issue after issue, and I was paying out for projects that weren't even the job that I was working towards. So I took a break from the construction, the estimates, the bad news from companies outside of the great team that I had working with me already.
This time off has given me clarity to think about what I truly felt in my heart what I really, really wanted to accomplish in this next season of my career. Sorting through all my options, a new one literally fell into my lap.
I will be moving to Hair-raising experience salon, and it will become the new home of
Kateri Johnson Salon and Education,
a place where I can work my regular schedule with my clients, new and OG, but also have enough space for smaller one-on-one education that I want to offer, family work with children with curly hair, all the things that I want to do.
Who knew? (Well, God did.)
But this is my new path for my 30th year and moving forward.
It's going to be a whirlwind. I will be taking my place at the new salon March 5th. So I will need my March bookings and forward to Google Map the location.

From south, you can take 131. You can even get there through M6, 96, Chicago Drive, 28th Street, really super easy.
Hopefully, you can all follow me on this journey. And if not or the distance is just a little bit too much, I totally understand.
