Last show for Tuck today. It’s been a great run with excellent folk to be around. I have enjoyed every note played. Today each note will be precious as they will be the last for this show. Makes me think about every precious moment I spend with the folks around me. Cherish your notes/moments. They are precious.
I've gone and joined the Circus. Nah, just kidding, but I have the honor of playing in the pit orchestra for "Tuck Everlasting" this next week at Grants Pass High School. Check it out. In a great twist of things the orchestra gets to join the cast on stage as the backdrop for the show. Literally some laughs, some tears, and some unforgettable characters. Bonus for me, as I get to play the music store for fun. It'll probably be raining so can't do yard work, might as well come on down.
Still in the Swim World 2024 Districts That’s Mason down there standing on the left watching his team warm up Go St. Mary’s
Maybe I’m over playing this 🤣 but I couldn’t figure out which guitar to bring today so I brought them all
You’ll either get this or you won’t.
The Sound of Stillness is
Still My favorite concert
The truck, my boats and I are back. I have not closed the office despite the rumors. We did our best to let folks know but I was out with an injury. I start again Monday and booked a couple of weeks out. and No that is not my house. 🤣
Breathe in. . . . . .
Breathe out. . . . . .
Repeat as necessary.
Enjoy 😉
Just a quick note for those checking. Surgery was a success minimal invasiveness. I already have an increased ability to lift my leg and I begin my month recovery details to follow if interested but most importantly, thank you for your prayers well wishes and tender thoughts I believe any healthcare provider could only hope to have such a quality group of clients colleagues friends and as a friend of mine once said really good eggs. I truly appreciate you all My dog is keeping guard and I’ve got some great nurses and l i’ve just ingested, some quality narcotics, and I am down for a proper nap. I can feel the love and I am humbled and thankful. Kevin.
Hello Grants Pass. For those wondering about why I have been out of the office for the last couple of weeks. I have had a low back injury a number of weeeks ago and from the awesome efforts of those around me and far beyond I realize I could heal without surgery. However, it would take it longer than I have the courage for. (The nights are really rough) so in the morning I am scheduled for a micro discectomy of the L4 five region, which should take me about a month to return and I should be right as rain and back in the office with my charming, and someone obnoxious self. Well there it is, I wish good things on you all.

Your Subconscious Mind Is a Habit Mind
We need better habits.
Everything you purpose through the day, everything you do, and everything you think, will be programmed when you sleep. These daily actions will become habits in your subconscious mind. Neurons that fire together wire together. You will become what you do. Your subconscious mind will repeat habits that you have programmed whether you meant to or not.
Manual therapy alone is not enough.
Because it is something that is done to you, which can have an interruptive therapeutic effect, it is not learned, so it will not have a lasting effect. You will simply go back to your subconscious habits and reclaim pain and compensation patterns that brought you to the clinic in the first place.
You respond to trauma.
The first response to trauma is to protect an injured area. It’s a base level default for us. As your body repairs itself, we need to teach it how to reclaim quality movement patterns, because we do NOT go back to the previous pattern. We become what we do, not what we once did. If you have been injured and do not teach the injured area to reclaim that finesse, then you will be left with a dim protective version of what you had before, one little guarded movement at a time.
Everything small thing matters.
Joyful Movement & Recovery is about doing small, simple movements on a consistent basis to build those better habits. It’s about changing your patterns and responses to help your body heal. If you’re ready to change how you manage pain, improve your mobility, and get back to doing what you love, sign up for free today!

What is Joyful Movement & Recovery?
All motion is learned. Everything you do is a skill.
And no matter how seemingly simple, it can either be lost and replaced with something cheap, or improved to last and exhibit beautiful motion. Your brain, bones and soft tissue remodel according to lines of stress and firing sequences.
Everything you do matters. All motion leaves a mark.
You will become exactly what you do! Exactly how you do it! The wear patterns in your body become grooves and shape changes in all your tissue. And there is a map of it in your brain: a phenomenal version at one end, or a train wreck at the other!
There is always a better version of us. And you can change.
I believe no matter how bad or good your situation is, there is always a better version of us that can be achieved with gentle methodical effort. As we explore our incredible minds and realize the capability of movement we already have access to, we will see the result in our own youthfulness.
