The term “deep tissue” can be intimidating. Some may associate that with pain or soreness. The truth is, deep tissue doesn’t have to feel like torture. And surprisingly, I do find myself recommending deeper work to most clients who continually request relaxation massage. Relaxation is great! But if there are any knots or tender areas that tend to stick around, try deep tissue! It allows me to work through the fascia and deeper into the muscles to alleviate chronic pain.
