Today was surreal driving to work. I began teaching 2nd grade in August of 1988 and today was my last official day as a teacher with my UNCG students. I taught elementary, middle school, was a Curriculum Facilitator and now work at UNC Greensboro in the Elementary Ed department. I am sad to leave education but I leave knowing there are great future teachers who will lead. Picture below if my students on their first and last day❤️
Lastly- decisions about education such as policies, curriculum, safety, etc. need to keep the most important stakeholder in mind at all times. KIDS! Let’s think about what is best for them!
