A walk around the garden on a drizzly evening π
White lite sunflower ππ
This time of year is all about patience. I go out to the garden every morning and stare at the blooms, willing them to open so I can see their beauty. It's almost time, but not quite. I've never been good at being patient, but the garden teaches me more and more every year.
"For everything there is a season..."
A few snapshots πΈ from Mother's Day. Which vase is your favorite? π
The His Promises Art Studio and Adorned Flower Farm Mother's Day Special is now LIVE and available for purchase!
We have a limited number of these available and we did sell out last year so don't wait!

I got my dahlia tubers in the ground yesterday!! Can't wait to see these blooms π
I'm only growing "ball" variety dahlias because they last the longest in a vase. Varieties I'm growing this year:
π©·Cornel Bronze (coopery orange)
π©·Caitlyn's Joy (hot pink)
π©·Isabel (pinky-purple)
π©·Ivanetti (dark purple)
π©·Petra's Wedding (white)
Have you been planting in your garden lately? It's go time here in North Carolina!
Todays the day! It is officially GO TIME for warm weather loving annuals! I'm getting my zinnias in the ground today. What about you?
The anticipation is real for these marigolds!! I'm growing the Coco Gold and White Swan marigolds for the first part of the summer and I'm so excited to see them again! Especially the White Swan- they are so unique and beautiful. Look out for these blooms in the summer love bouquet club starting in July π
I will be starting some orange marigolds later in the season for fall bouquets, but for the height of summer I thought gold and white would be perfect.
Have you ever seen a white marigold in person? I'm including a photo from last year to give you a visual π
Mother's Day is ONE MONTH away! So we're back with our popular Mother's Day bundle: a handmade ceramic vase from His Promises Art Studio filled with a beautiful bouquet from Adorned Flower Farm.
Pre-orders will open April 28- two weeks before Mother's Day. We recommend preordering sooner rather than later, as we sold out last year! We did increase our stock for this year, but stock is still limited.
Mamas, feel free to tag your husband and/or kids below β¬οΈ or message them this post π«’. Also, we give you permission to buy your own gift- you deserve it!!
Stay tuned for ordering details!!
Ornamental grasses!! My goodness these seedlings have come a LONG way from the tiny blades of grass that first germinated.
I loved having my little bunny tails grass last year so I decided to try green drops and frosted explosion grass this year too. These add fun texture and movement to a bouquet π Can't wait to start using these in the summer bouquet club member bouquets π
Which one is your favorite? Bunny tails still has my heart π
Photos 2, 3, and 4 are from the Johnnys Selected Seeds online catalog.
Did you miss out on the Spring Fling Bouquet Club? There's still some room in the Summer Love and Autumn Breeze clubs for later this season!
βοΈ Summer Love starts on July 8. You'll get a biweekly bouquet through July and August!
π Autumn Breeze starts on September 9. You'll get a biweekly bouquet through September and October!

Ok I have to talk about this seedling.... white basketflower!
I ended up with some basketflower last season as a substitute for something else I had ordered from Stemz and at first I hated them..... but then they grew on me so much that I had to track down the seeds and find some π
. I only started a few since I'm running out of growing space (I know, I know) but the 6 seedlings I have look so good!
So you like weird flowers? I love them π
I can't wait to start planting the warm season annuals! It won't be long now. This next one is tall blue planet ageratum (also called floss flower).
These are a unique light blue-purple color that is so hard to find in flowers! I never would have chosen these on my own, but I ended up with a few bunches from other growers last year and I LOOOOOVE how they pair with sunflowers and queen zinnias so much!
These seedlings are so strong and vigorous- the roots are even growing out of the top of the plugs and rooting into nearby cells π³ so I know they will be very happy to get in the ground soon π
π
This is an appreciation post for fancy daffodils and tulips. That's it. That's the post.

In about one more week it will be time to get the warm season annuals planted in the garden! The grow room is full of so many lush, full seedlings.
This one is gomphrena- these flowers are so fun! They remind me of a flower that would be in a Dr. Suess book π This year I'm trying two new varieties for me- carmine (bright pink) and orange. π©·π§‘ These are going to be an unexpected and fun addition to summer bouquets!
Which color do you like best?
Flower photos are from the Johnnys Selected Seeds catalog.

Did you know violas are edible flowers? These would be so sweet on your Easter charcuterie boards π
Something I want to do better about this year is making bouquets and arrangements for my own home π₯° so here's a sweet spring arrangement I put together for myself last night. I'm loving the antique violas so much!
What's your favorite spring flower? π
Floret dahlia update! These seedlings are looking AMAZING! I can't believe how good they look π I'll be planting these out in the next several weeks!
Today vs March 3 π€©
The last photo is from Floret Flower Farm π
We officially have buds on the ranunculus! After babysitting these drama queens all winter long, seeing these buds popping up is such a welcome sight!! I'm so excited for the Spring Fling members to get their hands on these special blooms in just a few weeks!!
My bulk compost got delivered yesterday! π€π€π€ There's rain in the forecast tomorrow so we moved as much as we could yesterday and today but there's still a lot left to go... I ordered 6 cubic yards π³
Anyone wanna come over and help me scoop? π€£
I'm SO excited for these CanCan Girls Dahlias from Floret Flower Farm! I have 32 seedlings growing on and as soon as the soil warms up enough, they will be in the ground and on their way to producing some beautiful blooms for the Autumn Breeze bouquet club π€
Dahlias grown from seed (rather than tubers) are special because you never know exactly what you're going to get, but if one of the plants ends up being something you really love, you can save the tubers for future seasons to get the same bloom every year.
Stick around and see what blooms we end up with... what's your favorite from this mix? I'm hoping for the medium pinks!
π±π These strawflower seedlings are desperate to be planted!! Good thing my compost comes tomorrow π
. How good is this mix from Johnnys Seed? It's called "seashells mix" and I couldn't think of a better description of these colors. They should be blooming just in time for our Summer Breeze Bouquet Club βοΈ
Strawflowers represent everlasting love π because they look the same dry as they do fresh and maintain their color and form for years to come! When the rest of your bouquet fades, take out the strawflowers and let them dry upside down so you can enjoy them as everlasting flowers π«ΆπΌ

I started these echinacea (commonly known as "coneflower) 45 days ago and they are looking amazing!
I have 3 different varieties here: purpurea, white swan, and Cheyenne spirit. Echinacea is a perennial, so it will come back year after year. It's also a native wildflower in our area, so it's very beneficial to our native pollinators. And the best feature of all... it makes a beautiful cut flower for summer bouquets π
Happy March! π±βοΈπ
If you've been waiting to sign up as an Adorned Bouquet Club member, don't wait! I will be closing sign ups for the Bouquet of the Month Club, Spring Fling Club, and ABC Season Pass on March 25!
Our first bouquet day for the Bouquet of the Month Club is April 1, and the first day of the Spring Fling is April 8! I can't believe it's almost time for ABC to begin!! After working hard to overwinter spring flowers, I am BEYOND excited to have them in YOUR hands and in YOUR homes πππ
