Ask you questions and make sure you understand and aware of all circumstances , and work their way through a series of scenarios to better understand your style and preferences, you’ve found the right stylist for you.2-They explain every service💖it’s always important that you and your stylist establish a report, you may not need this from them, but until you reach that stage of your relationship, your stylist should explain everything they’re doing.3- They’re a friend💖You’ll know you’ve found a great stylist when you feel like they’re more than a stylist and you consider them apart of your family, that they somehow become your friend. I call them family clients 💖4- They don’t judge💖A great stylist is there to offer no judgment. They also have no problem if you’re coming off a troubling day and just need to sit in peace and quiet and let the day just float. Your stylist should always create a safe space from the time you enter until the time you leave. Things I do not charge for as a hair stylist 💇‍♀️✨1. I do not have a up charge fee for client who have thick long hair!! People can’t help if they have hair. The price quoted should be the price given. Often hair stylist will wait until the client has sat in the chair and inform them about a up-charge they aren’t prepared for! Sorry but not sorry clients don’t come bald headed.2. A tucking fee!! Let’s be real why are clients being charged to have their hair tucked? Real stylist automatically tuck your natural hair!!! Your natural hair should always be tucked when receiving braid services. It should come natural when braiding.3. Blow drying. 95% of the time I have to stretch my clients hair out. I do so because I like to get the hair in the state that works best for me. Stylist Uniform
For starters wearing all black is my uniform. When I was in hair school I had to purchase tons of black outfits in order to be in compliance so once I graduated I continued wearing them in my suite. Wearing all black definitely makes things easier in the morning when I don’t feel like looking for things to wear. Black is a professional color in the working industry and you can’t go wrong with it. No matter what shoes I put on I normally can get away with it wearing my all black uniform.
