A Fresh Start for Our Gym!

We’re thrilled to share that our gymnasium floor has been beautifully redone, thanks to the generous donation from Snider It's a Beautiful Day 5K We couldn’t be more grateful for the support that makes it possible for us to continue providing a safe and welcoming space for our community. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this amazing transformation!

Because of YOUR involvement in the Steve Snider It’s a Beautiful Day 5K, we were able to contribute to the purchase of a new scoreboard for the - it was delivered and installed today! As always, thank you for taking part, and thank you for helping make things better for kids in our community while honoring Steve at the same time!

It’s a Beautiful Day - to give away some money - $1,000 to be exact! With your help, by taking part in last year’s event, we were able to establish the Steve Snider It’s a Beautiful Day $1,000 Scholarship to a Greensburg Salem student who values physical education and exemplifies the qualities that Steve possessed regarding a love for physical fitness. This year’s winner is Jose Ayala and he was recognized at this week’s Scholastic Awards Assembly. Congratulations, Jose!

As someone who was coached by Steve at GS and then coached and worked with him at GS, sometimes we forget that Steve also had the opportunity to work at the Trinity School as well as have a great experience coaching at St. Vincent College, forming the same, incredible bonds along the way!

Whether you knew him as Mr. Snider, Coach Snider, Steve, Grandad, or Dad, we’re coming together on Monday the 27th at 8:30 am at Offutt Field to celebrate all that this incredible man did for us and our community.

Sometimes we get caught up in everyday life - we’ve all got an awful lot going on. Trust me, we’ve got a lot going on this week as we finish our prep for our race. But it’s important that we remember our WHY.

We will do our best, but we can’t guarantee we will have extras and we can’t guarantee you’ll get the size you want - and nobody wants this!

PLEASE understand that the shirts are our biggest expense, and sitting on shirts costs us the opportunity to help kids in our community!

We’re still looking for Volunteers to help in several different areas. We’d love to have YOU take part in our community event! Take a look at the link in our bio, then navigate to the Volunteers page to sign up!

As we are disbursing money raised from last year’s race, we want to be fully transparent on where that’s going. We are making donations to sports programs at both the and as well as funding a scholarship for a GS senior. Pictured are young ladies who are participating in the Y’s volleyball program. We were able to help this program through the purchase of supplies such as much needed volleyballs. We have more purchases on the horizon for both of these groups and we will be highlighting them as they occur, but the money is earmarked, and we thank you for your support - we couldn’t do this without YOU!
