One year.

Thank you to our very first supporters, collaborators, and believers. And thank you to those whose shoulders have given us a great view.

There’s only one first year in business—we tried to savor every moment, even the unsavory ones.

As we head into year two, stoking the fire of our first publication—Vessel Mag—heading to print later this year, we are riding high on creative momentum.

With great hope, there will be many more firsts. But we are soaking in this one.

Cheers to all who are bringing Knobel Media to life.💡

Welcome, Colin!

Introducing Colin Brake, our new editorial intern, in a few facts:

✍️ Colin is pursuing a degree in English from Furman University.

🌆 An Atlanta native, Colin is excited to help Vessel Mag branch out into the wider corners of the Southeast.

🗞️ He is the incoming editor in chief of Furman's The Paladin but found his first home in the Opinions Column as editor—or, more accurately, "arguer.”

🪑Colin's two favorite rooms are the newsroom and the classroom. One day, he aspires to become a college professor.

💡He is a creative problem-solver, lover of eye-opening conversation, and hater of Atlanta traffic.

Welcome to the Soul Good mag, Colin!

Everything Belongs Zooming out for a better view

Good storytelling is about framework—what is shared and, just as importantly, what isn’t. Compelling content is a balance of positive and negative space, of both questions and answers.

09/07/2022

Why do we focus on print?

Print is a premium brand experience.

Digital content has its place and immediacy. It attracts, informs, and entertains.

But scrolling and zooming do not match the pleasure of paging through a beautiful publication, full of visual artistry and immersive storytelling.

Digital content piques interest—while print media keeps it.
