Avoiding unnecessary stress is a BIG reason to use me as your travel designer!ļæ¼
When we travel with purpose ~ even if that purpose is as simple as traveling with an open mind and a kind heart ~ we fill ourselves, and ideally, consider our impact on a destination.
That is why I love working with travel partners and destinations who have sustainability as a keystone of their brand and make a tangible difference in the lives of the people living and working in the destinations we visit.
Our presents changes a place, so we might as well try our hardest to leave it better than we found it. Iād love to work with you on your next vacation so we can all travel better!
Living a balanced life doesnāt mean living life perfectly. āļø(Perfection is a dangerous myth that shouldnāt be strived for.)

Balance is a dance of opposites. Work and rest. Family time and me time. Sticking with routine and trying something new.

A few years ago, I did something very familiar in an unusual place. I took a yoga class on a helipad in downtown Hollywood.

For someone who is scared of heights, it wasnāt an easy decision. š³But the experience and the panoramic view was worth the discomfort.

Edinburgh, Scotland really shines in the winter months āļøas Christmas markets and Hogmanay celebrations come together to create a winter wonderland offering one of the worldās best festive calendars. Along with Santaās Grotto š ; an oval ice rink; fairground rides, an elvesā workshop hidden within the Christmas Tree Maze; and stalls selling wooden toys, Harry Potter themed gifts š , and mulled Irn Bru; youāll find special performances, and art works showcasing local talent.
Baselās Christmas market is the biggest and most beautiful šin Switzerland, assembling 160 decorated stalls šselling a wide array of culinary wonders from gob-stopping sausages, and authentic Basel LƤckerli (a local twist on gingerbread), to hot punch, festive fondue, and rib-sticking raclette to beat the winter chill.
Nothing will get you more in the spirit of the festive season šmore than the incredible illuminations of the Metz Christmas market in France. Keep warm with traditional features such as the open-air ice-rink āļøand the merry-go-round. Wander through the enchanting Sentiers des Lanternes and follow the path of elves and dolls illuminated during the stunning fair.
You have to trust a city so dedicated to Yuletide that it rolls out real live camels š« . But Polandās old capital, KrakĆ³w, has plenty more in store. You can get your skates on in a snowy squareāļø, fill up on mulled wine and gingerbread, and experience sublime moments in serene galleries and candlelit churches.
Christmas in the Slovakian capital of Bratislava is a time of childlike wonder. āļø Fairy lights are draped around Christmas trees š , while market stalls sell traditional wooden toys and handsome Christmas decorations. Foodie treats include pancakes, sausages and luscious cakes.
Franceās āCapital of Christmasā is Strasbourgš. Youāll find 300 traditional market stalls crowding the cityās central squares, doing a strong line in hand-painted wooden Christmas decorations. Seek out the Market of the Invincible Small Producers of Alsace for sausages and almondy, fruity, brioche-like kugelhopf.š¤¤
Prague, Czech Republic is a glittering pool of seasonal cheer. There are presents aplenty on offer including frosted, hand-blown glass baubles. But itās the food š¤¤that will keep you hanging around: warm, fatty sausages just off the grill; fresh pancakes š„; garlic and-cheese flatbread; all topped off by a glug of svarĆ”k, the local, citrussy take on mulled wine. Its cinnamon scent is misted over the whole square.
Britainās prettiest market, which spills along Bathās cobbled streets, is big, but quaint and crafty; youāll find 80 percent of its 200-plus stalls selling local products from snug wooden chalets strung with twinkling lights. Warm up over a glass of mulled cider šŗ in the Lodge on Stall Street, a cosy cabin with plenty of Christmas cheer and a bar selling more than just hot chocolate and mulled wine.
Igniting the Christmas atmosphere in mid-Novemberš³, Budapest brings two Christmas market šcontenders to the table: Vorosmarty Square and Basilica. Vorosmarty Square is tucked right into the heart of the city and is Budapestās oldest Christmas market. Here, youāll find plenty of food stalls, handicraft shops and free concerts.
For a more modern take on tradition, arty Berlin has it covered. The city centre is festooned with around 80 Christmas markets š(thereās even one specifically for dogs š¶ ), so donāt try to cover them all. If youāre after scale, Spandau is the biggest. For looks, Weihnachtszauber, in magnificent Gendarmenmarkt Square, is the prettiest with plenty of arts and crafts on offer.
The pretty Salzburg, Austria comes into its own at Christmas, with snow-sprinkled āļø renditions of āSilent Nightā (the carol was written and first performed nearby) and market stalls that look much as they did when they were first set up way back in the 15th century. The focus here is on quality over quantity, so expect hand-knitted socks š§¦ rather than novelty candles for stocking fillers at this winter wonderland.
Long-favored as a festive destination, Cologne boasts several Christmas markets š , the largest of which is in the city centre, beneath the appropriately stunning backdrop of Cologneās iconic cathedral. Recently added to Cologneās festivities is Christmas Avenue, an LGBTQ+ market featuring live shows and variety performances, located between the Sparkasse bank and Westgate on Rudolfplatz Square. š³ļøāš
