There's no right or wrong way, all that's important is that you open up the book or the app and spend time in His word. 🙏📖

Read the Word.

If there's an issue that's been frustrating you, something that's been weighing on your heart, something that's been making you anxious, fast with us on the last day of the month from 6 am until 6 pm.

Is it a health condition that isn't improving? A relationship issue that's not getting better? Let's fast and try these few tips:

🔎 Look for Bible verses that illuminate God's will for your particular situation

✍ Write them on index cards

🗣 Declare them throughout the day

If you’re dealing with a spirit of depression today, I challenge you to stop giving it room to take root. Don’t give it a permanent seat at your table. Tackle it head-on with worship.

I was meditating on this verse today and the word “law” jumped out at me and made me think of restraint.⠀She restrains her tongue to speak with kindness. Why?⠀ ⠀

We live in an age where we are all encouraged to speak our truth. An age in which we are encouraged to focus on authenticity first, and delivery second, if at all.

Reality TV amplifies this trend with the plethora of loud, brash, sassy “characters” who earn their money based on how unrestrained they can be with their speech. Characters cut and dice each other with harsh words and while we are aghast in the moment, we come back for more. But what happens to us when we consume this content day after day, month after month, year after year? We start to emulate some of this behavior. It’s inevitable.

Proverbs 31: 26 is a beautiful reminder that part of our power as women is how we communicate. We have the power to build up and to tear down. In Matthew 15:11, Jesus says, “not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.” So not only do we have the power to build up and tear down others by how we communicate, but we build up or tear down (defile) ourselves in the process.

Let’s choose to be like the virtuous wife in Proverbs 31 and harness this power for good, not for evil. Let’s choose to speak with wisdom. Let’s choose to speak kindly.

There've been times in my life where I've been really disciplined about spending morning time in worship, but more often than not these days I put it off.

But here's one thing I know for sure - worship is the key. It softens your heart, it softens the heart of God. It opens doors. It gives you the access you need. It breaks barriers, it breaks down walls.

And... when I have a really good worship session, I can expect a manifestation of some kind the next day. That's just how responsive the spirit realm is when we hit the right note, press the right keys, and open the right doors.

So take time to worship. And when you do, tarry awhile.

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart

- Hebrews 4:12

Every word of God is pure;
He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.

Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,

I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

If you've been waiting for a nudge to finally do the thing. To start the business, to write the book, to reconnect with an old friend, to travel to the exotic destination, to be who God called you to be... Well here it is: Just do it.

Life is short so encourage yourself in the word, shrug off fear, and do it.

Rest.

It's God's gift to you, and a well-rested you is the gift you give to others.

So receive it.

Embrace it.

Don't feel guilty about it.
