The Office of Soldiers' Counsel (OSC) provides free legal counseling and advocacy for Soldiers undergoing IDES/LDES processing. The Reserve Component Soldiers’ MEB Counsel program advises TPU/IMA/IRR and M-Day Soldiers on their rights and responsibilities during IDES/LDES, and assists Soldiers in developing an
appropriate strategy to help reach desired goals. We are available to help review IDES/LDES examinations and MEB/IPEB/VA results and advise and assist with appeals and other due process options, if appropriate. Other than attending a mandatory briefing, there is no obligation to use our services.
