Yesterday while working on one of his School modules, our young man came across an article on Autism. He highlighted the sentence that states “there is no cure”, he says “of course there is no cure, they still have not found out how to cure cancer yet”, then we had a good conversation about his autism. I said, “if there was a cure for Autism, then it would change who you are”, he replied “true”! He then asked other questions like, “is anyone else in our family on the Autism Spectrum?” I said “that is a possibility, I could be, or your Dad, or both of us”, he says “Uncle Lionel(His Granny’s Brother)”, I said “perhaps”, but without a diagnosis, we may never know!” He was content with that and went back to work!

Today was a win, we took a break from school work so I could run to the Chiropractor, Mall and Walmart. We have a Cruise coming up in just over two weeks. Took my boy to Under Armor because they always have amazing sales at the Outlet Mall here and offer Military discounts. We picked out two polo shirts and he even tried one on over his shirt he had on and two pairs of dress shorts so he could be somewhat dressed up for the Elegant nights on the cruise but still be comfortable! Score and win!!!

Last night was great, went to Monster Jam with the fam, our boy loves the Monster trucks. He did well with his ear plugs in and enjoyed bugging his Sister, so her and I had to swap seats, lol! He even bought a toy with what he had left from his birthday money and spent too much on a hot dog, but he is a growing young man and when he is hungry, he eats!

Today is Saturday, our boy’s favorite day, no school and bowling league!

I was making my smoothie this morning, our boy doesn’t handle loud noises well, he tried plugging his ears, my new compact smoothie maker couldn’t handle the frozen fruit. Eventually I had to switch to my Ninja smoothie maker, I could see the noise was making him uncomfortable, so I told him to take a break and check on the chickens while I finished.

Today is the man child’s birthday, officially 15!

Tomorrow our young man turns 15, he has his first bowling league of the new year and wants to go zip lining after and maybe wants to go eat out at whatever restaurant that doesn’t sing Happy Birthday. I can remember back to kindergarten when his class sang to him that he didn’t like it, it didn’t click until he was diagnosed at age 10. We also will do a bonfire and toast marshmallows per his request. My heart breaks for him because he remembers the first year we moved here and had a big birthday party for him and none of the kids we invited showed up.
