It is a pity to see friends closing their small businesses after 30 years. I think the art business is being affected more than other fields because owners can’t make enough money to pay their rents, bills, and employees. Also rents are going high. This is the case of a couple of friends that owned a Framing shop in Hackettstown, their rent went up from $2,500 to $5,000.

CASA INTI is a beautiful project I am working on. It is where healers meet academics and researchers. A place to share ancestral knowledge and find alternative ways to treat different illnesses.
Furthermore, we are conducting different research to understand how the use of plants, food, and our consumption can help us find balance and stay in harmony with our environment.

Go after your dreams, keep walking and move beyond your goals.
I came three years and half ago invited for an event and I felt in love of this university. I finished with two majors (English and Spanish), a film concentration, a Latin American studies Minor, 1 documentary fellowship, 8 short anthropological movies, conferences,and I directed a Cine-Debate; I had beautiful experiences as grader Professor, assistant Professor. I am part of Sigma Delta Pi, adviser, many scholarships, and the most important, projects with wonderful Professors under construction.

Hi dear friends, I want to share with you a documentary project I am working in during the last year.
This project started as part of the fellowship program I got in collaboration with the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) and Montclair State University Clean Energy and Sustainability Analytic Center.
This research documentary project
explores the communication gap between developers and the community of New Jersey.

I had a magical conversation with the Decolonizing Cinema Professor from Montclair State University regarding the tragic events happening in Peru. Furthermore, we compare the events with similar historical moments in the US and worldwide. It is sad to see how economic power and white dominance are still present in countries like Peru, with deep indigenous and Andean roots, also is sad how those colonialist powers use police, army, and other tools to oppress the people.

Peru riots: unrest in southern Andes lays bare an urgent need to decolonise More than 50 Peruvians have died in rioting as the South America country faces a severe constitutional crisis.
During the last months, I have been working on a Multimedia project about post-pandemic consequences for the Latino community at Montclair State University. As immigrants, Hispanic students have more responsibilities with their college duties, employment, economic obligations to their families, and taking care of their families' younger and older members. In addition, after the Pandemic, Latinos have been struggling with mental health issues like depression and anxiety; those matters unfamiliar to the Hispanic community are challenging cultural stigmas and taboos in Hispanic families, like religion and social norms.
19% of the Latino population in the U.S. are experimenting with those issues, which is growing. We need to pay attention to this because we are the second biggest ethnic group in this country.
The project started after I concluded a set of short documentaries for the Sociology department, and I realized how dangerous could be the gap between Latino culture and American society.
