IT IS ALMOST SUMMER!
I have some daytime availability for virtual sessions in NJ and MD (:
Tues 12, Thursday 2 pm, Friday 2 pm- specializing in eating disorders, addictions, and general mental health (depression, anxiety, ptsd)
Checking in on my fellow introverts (and extroverts) at the start of this Holiday season! Not only is it the time of year where seasonal depression hits hard- it’s a time that requires a lot of mental energy. A lot of time family gatherings or holiday parties are a big source of stress and drain of our social battery. I love to practice self care weekly (nails, face mask, favorite candle) and dedicate some daily time alone to journal and read! What are you doing this holiday season to recharge?
EVENING SESSION AVAILABILITY
I have one weekly spot and one bi-weekly spot open in the evenings- VIRTUALLY
mental health- addictions- eating disorders
message me to see if your insurance is accepted !
Fall is here!!
Although it is my favorite season - with the cold weather and shorter days of sunshine, can also come some feelings of sadness and lack of motivation
Make sure you are incorporating self care into your daily routine 💜🎃
My favorite form of simple daily self care is making myself my favorite flavor of coffee and lighting my favorite candle while I’m working. Monthly I like to get my nails done as a bigger self care task. How about you?
We often look at the toxic traits in others, but have we stopped to look at our own traits? These are just a *few* of the traits we can have that may be holding us back and affecting our mental health. This doesn’t include toxic/risky behaviors either. These are all things we may be doing which don’t allow us to grow to our full potential and are keeping us from feeling happy. They are core reasons we may not be acting in accordance to our values and goals. Although we may not be consciously doing this- it may be learned behavior or stem from negative beliefs about ourself- it is still important to address and make a change
take offense, be angry, be upset - but most importantly don’t settle for less than you deserve. From a partner, from family, from friends. Don’t allow people who make you feel unwanted & unloved have that kind of access to your energy, your life. Find people who match your energy, who want to be there for you, who have stuck around through the good & the bad. I don’t believe in “but it’s family” or giving a million second chances to people who have done nothing to deserve it. I believe in setting boundaries and firm goals to protect your mental health and build up your self esteem. I believe the people who are meant to be in your life will clearly show you they want to be there and they’re happy to be there
Got some business cards in
*opting for fruit instead of dessert is not intuitive eating* let me repeat that- if you’re craving sugar in the form of chocolate, eating fruit instead is not intuitive eating (unless you’re craving fruit). Somewhere down the line toxic diet culture blurred the lines on intuitive eating v restriction. It made us fearful of certain foods and portion control. Intuitive eating is listening to what your body wants and honoring it. It’s teaching yourself that there are no “bad” foods or “bad” times to eat. I highly recommend the book **kitdiet for more information on this.
To all women,
I am so sorry that we are collectively having to go through this. It is okay to be angry, sad, scared.
The courts have failed us, but they have underestimated the power of angry women.
Please take the time for extra self care this weekend. Holding space for all of you💜
Happy Friday! How are we feeling? We have made it through another tough week. I can feel the heavy energy this week; self care and relaxation this weekend. Give yourself time to recharge!
Love a little reflection first thing in the morning (ok after the gym)
How are we feeling today?!
Alexa, play I am woman💜✌🏻 the way we speak to ourselves is powerful in our healing journey. How can we expect to feel good when we are consistently putting ourselves down? Pick your favorite affirmations and stick them on all your mirrors and over your desk.
sometimes our emotions create physical symptoms in our body; check in with yourself, do you notice any of these sensations? It helps to clue us in on how we are feeling
Welcome friends and strangers!!
I appreciate the support from my friends…and although I can’t help you professionally, I’d be more than happy to provide you with a referral ☺️
how are we feeling today?
