My body was craving these pumpkin muffins from . Do yourself a favor and just make them! 👩🏼‍🍳 They are so easy to make with just a few healthy ingredients and are not overly sweet so they are perfect for a snack or breakfast 😋.

Pumpkin is high in beta-carotene which is important for your eye 👁👁 health.

It also contains vitamins C and E, which are two very important antioxidants🧡!

Pumpkin also is high in lutein and zeaxanthin, which can help keep your skin healthy and strong! 💪🏼

Oats 🥣 are high in soluble fiber which help to lower bad cholesterol 👏🏼& aid in digestion! They are also rich in vitamins B1, Magnesium and Zinc!

These muffins are also made with maple syrup; check 👀 out my previous post about ALL the health benefits of natural maple 🍁 syrup!

I am officially obsessed 👀with this healing and recovery Golden Milk. 🥛
The main ingredient is Turmeric which is a powerful 💪🏼 anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory. It also helps with wound healing, enhances the immune system and is a natural pain reliever!💥

It’s in the form of Curcumin which is sometimes difficult for your body to absorb but that’s why they add black pepper and probiotics to help 👏🏼 aid in digestion! (The added spices enhance the flavor and I feel like I’m drinking something from a gourmet coffee ☕️ shop).

This Golden Milk contains Ashwagandha which is an ancient medicinal 🌿adaptogen, which helps your body manage stress and helps to boost your mood. 😁

I’ve been enjoying one scoop of this mixed into a cup of warmed 🫖 cashew milk every afternoon, it is SO delicious 😋 not to mention nourishing and healing! ✨

has been a life saver helping to keep me hydrated by providing electrolytes. It also has Vitamin C . Your body needs a lot of Vitamin C 🍊to make collagen and it speeds the healing of surgical wounds. It has vitamins B3, B5, B6 and B12 which help give you energy ⚡️ by supporting cellular function ! Everyday it is important to provide your body with proper hydration 💦especially when your body is recovering from surgery !

I just got back from a beautiful beach walk with my husband. I’m so grateful 🙏🏻 for where we live especially during this time when we have to socially distance. We are very lucky to enjoy the tranquility of the ocean. I feel immediately relaxed the minute I see the water 🌊and breathe in the fresh air 💨. Walking 30 minutes a day can help diminish back pain, improves flexibility in the muscles and decreases stiffness in the joints. I find walking to be a natural stress reliever especially when I’m in such a beautiful setting. You can split it into two 15 minute sessions if you can’t set aside a full half hour.

There is something about receiving box 📦each week!
I always get so excited 🤸🏼‍♂️ to see what’s in it. I find that I eat a larger variety of organic fruits 🍎🍇and veggies 🍆🥬when I subscribe to weekly deliveries. Now what exactly do I make with broccoli leaf? 🥦Thanks !

Maple syrup has Quebecol !!! 🤗 This is a special compound that has anti-inflammatory and anti-carcinogen properties which are especially effective with hormone receptive breast and colon cancers!👏 Since I am a breast cancer survivor this was especially interesting to me!! 💕

I was super excited to learn this as I would crave that maple syrup sweetness when I would make my plain oatmeal for breakfast. 🥣

But until recently I would avoid adding it to my breakfast because I was trying to avoid the extra sugar. 🍭🍬

Maple Syrup is still very calorie dense but has a lower glycemic index than refined sugar! As soon as I found out the health benefits of maple syrup I had to share!🤸🏼‍♂️

The sweet taste of pure maple syrup
Nourishes:
🍁Spleen
🍁Pancreas
🍁Liver

It is also rich in
🍁Calcium
🍁Iron
🍁Potassium
🍁Zinc
🍁Manganese
🍁Phosphorus

So go ahead start and your day ☀️ off with a little bit of nature’s miracle sweetener!

I’m so grateful 🙏my sister gifted 🎁 me this cute maple syrup set from TraderJoe's for Christmas! Aren’t the bottles adorable??

MAGNESIUM! It is so important for hundreds of cellular processes in your body and most people are deficient! 👀

It is best to get Magnesium daily through diet!

Dark Chocolate 🍫
Nuts 🌰
Peanuts 🥜
Dark Green Veggies like Spinach 🥬 and Broccoli 🥦

You can also apply a Magnesium cream to your body (best absorbed through your feet!) 👣or take an Espsom Salt Bath! 🛀 This can help decrease muscle cramps!

I just started using a Magnesium cream made by and love it!

Aim for 400-600mg of Magnesium a day. If you take a supplement avoid Magnesium Oxide because it can be harsh on your stomach. It is best absorbed at night ⭐️✨ and it may help you sleep better. 😴

Magnesium may also help reduce headaches, control blood sugar levels, lower blood pressure, decrease inflammation , alleviate PMS symptoms and increase energy levels. ⚡️

So during this holiday season go ahead and have a little extra chocolate and nuts you are doing your body good! 👏🤗

Pandemic Yoga! 🤸🏼 I’m so grateful for and all her class options. Today I chose a live Zoom class.

Yoga is so good for your mind and body. The postures help to strengthen the spine and joints. The stretches help to lengthen tight muscles. 💥

The meditation 🧘🏼‍♀️helps to reduce stress and anxiety. (And these days we can all use some of that! )

Regular yoga practice and chiropractic care complement each other to help maintain flexibility in the spine to improve posture and decrease back pain! 🌟🙌

We didn’t get as much snow🌨 as I was hoping for so I’m sharing a photo from a few years ago when we did have almost two feet of snow! ☃️

I know a lot of you did get a good amount of snow so here is some advice to SAVE YOUR BACK!

SNOW SHOVELING TIPS:
❄️Stretch before heading out 🙆‍♀️
❄️Use ergonomic snow shovel ⛄️
❄️Engage your leg & shoulder muscles 💪
❄️Push the snow instead of lifting 🏋🏽
❄️Avoid bending and twisting 🤸🏼
❄️Keep shovel close to body 🙌
❄️Take frequent breaks 🧘🏼‍♀️

BE CAREFUL 👀 out there everyone! Low Back Pain affects 70% of people at some time in their life and is usually caused by unaccustomed strain like SHOVELING SNOW! 🥶

“When the dawn of simplicity comes in life, complications leave”.

If you were like me and indulged a little more than you wanted to this past weekend or maybe you indulged 🍗🥧🍽just as much as you planned to but are now feeling guilty don’t beat yourself up!!! 🤕💥

Replace unhealthy habits with healthy 🌿 ones or if you’ve gone off course get back on the right path. 🤸🏼

I’m resetting and getting back to my evening routine with a cup of bedtime tea ! 🍵

I like to keep a variety of teas on hand to keep it interesting .

Tonight’s choice is because this tea supports my overall wellness, helps me unwind and I adore the little words of wisdom. 🦉

Happy Thanksgiving ! 🦃🍁🍂

I’m so grateful for the support of all my friends and family this past year. 2020 has been a difficult year for us all and I truly appreciate the little things in life. 💕

I am also so thankful to be married to my hilarious loving husband. He always brings laughter 🤗 to any situation and for that I am blessed.

🙏

11/26/2020

Throughout the years, I have seen many post-thanksgiving injuries from not lifting the turkey 🦃 properly.

Make sure you keep the bird close to you as you lift 🏋🏽and don’t bend forward or twist. 🪢

Bending forward and twisting while lifting something heavy can cause disc herniations, joint sprains and muscle strains! 😫

Have a Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving! 🍂🍁

Sometimes you just have to get moving! 🏃🏼‍♀️

I just finished a three mile loop ! The holiday season is always a stressful time of year and I’m sure everyone agrees with me that this year is even more so. 🤯

I find walking in nature so healing. 🙏

It elevates your mood 🤗 in addition to burning calories and decreasing back pain!

Chiropractic treatments also can elevate your mood and decrease back pain! 🤸🏼

I really was looking forward to having my morning cup of Reishi mushroom coffee on this gloomy Monday morning... 🌧

Organo black ☕️is my go to choice because it’s invigorating, bold and provides natural antioxidants in addition to Ganoderma lucidum which is known as the red 🍄Reishi Mushroom.

Instant black coffee may provide even more antioxidants than other brew methods, plus it’s so easy because all you have to do is add hot water! I also like the individual packets because I can bring it with me when I travel. My friends and family know I always bring my own coffee when visit them 🏡. *Link in bio*

Symptoms of TEXT NECK include neck and shoulder pain, joint stiffness, headaches and muscle weakness. 😫

Looking down at your phone for even short periods of time can cause long term damage to your spine. 📱

PREVENT text neck by
1️⃣taking frequent breaks
2️⃣hold your phone at eye level
3️⃣avoid repetitive swiping motions
4️⃣look down with your eyes not your neck
5️⃣practice good posture
6️⃣perform neck and shoulder stretches daily
7️⃣get regular chiropractic adjustments

Walking can help decrease BACK PAIN....
✅Provides nutrients to muscles by increasing blood flow
✅Strengthens spinal muscles
✅ Increase flexibility in joints
✅ Improves range of motion ✅Decreases stiffness
✅Flushes out the toxins that cause muscle soreness
✅Improves your mood

Start out slow even just 10 minutes of walking can help! ⏱

Gradually build endurance and work your way up to 45-60 minutes of walking a day. 🏃🏼‍♀️

Try to maintain proper posture when walking and avoid hunched posture.
🚶🏼‍♀️
Talk to your chiropractor about other ways to decrease back pain. 👩🏼‍⚕️

One of the most frequent questions I get from patients is what pillow should I use? 🛏I suggest to get something supportive. Try to stay away from down pillows because they don’t provide the proper alignment for your spine. I love coop home goods and it’s the brand I personally use at home. I suggest this brand to my patients because of the excellent quality of the pillows. They also offer a few options because not everyone’s spine is shaped the same! Check them out!

You should also see your chiropractor 👩🏼‍⚕️if you are waking up with neck pain, muscle soreness or stiff joints! 💥

It’s Mushroom Monday again! This photo is of poisonous ☠️ amanita muscaria mushrooms. I took this picture when traveling in Germany 🇩🇪 a few years ago. :: Sigh:: remember when we could travel? ✈️ I definitely don’t condone eating these poisonous mushrooms or any poisonous mushrooms but I do get my daily dose of NON poisonous mushrooms from Organo.

Organo products contain ORGANIC Ganoderma lucidum 🍄 and is the only brand I trust. Now more than ever it’s so important to take care of our health 🏃🏼‍♀️ and immune system. It’s important to start at the cellular level 🔬 where health truly begins.

Our immune system is constantly under attack from our everyday activities whether it’s not getting enough sleep😴 , increased stress levels 🤯 or unhealthy diets.🍔

Ganoderma is also known as the Reishi mushroom which translates to “King of Herbs” 👑 This powerful mushroom has been used for thousands of years to enhance your immune system because it effects your white blood cells which help to fight infection. 😷 I get my daily dose of Reishi through organo coffee but if you don’t like coffee ☕️ they have it available in teas, hot chocolate or lattes!

Something I like to do before bedtime is to have a cup of my favorite non caffeinated tea. 🍵Tonight’s choice is Tazo Organic Spicey Ginger. I sometimes take a spoonful of Manuka Raw honey instead of putting it directly in the tea because I don’t want to kill all the powerful healing properties that’s in raw honey! 🍯

🍵

Getting all my supplies ready for another chiropractic home 🏡 visit! I can deliver different types of adjustments using other tools 🛠 in addition to the “traditional”chiropractic adjustment using my hands. 🙌 Chiropractic is translated from Greek and means done by hands.

✅ DM me for details!
