Village Grown
A tiny cut flower farm growing beauty, seed to bloom.
Milkweed. We have this fabulous native in patches around our farm. This season we waited forever to see our first Monarch. But they came. They are the reason we have “patches” of milkweed dappling our field.
Harvest with Koa and waiting to dry, dispersing seeds in our bluff winds.
Then the empty pods come inside where they’re transformed to our favorite tree ornaments.
I learned how to make these from Martha, the original DIY gal over 30 years ago.
I’ll bring a few to market on Saturday’s Market at the Museum 9-1:00 at the Harbor Springs Area Historical Museum.
Be there. Will be fun. 😆
Finally . . . First post in about seven months.
Making wreaths and decorations for the holidays, potting up bulbs to flower your home.
Marketing is not my strong point 😆 - I’m more about creating and making, but just so you know:
I’ll be sharing dried florals and potted bulbs this Saturday November 18th at “Market at the Museum” 9-1:00 in Harbor Springs.
Just stop by for a smile and a look!
