Prepping for the week prior to ! Keep it simple. We want to keep to what we know will fuel our bodies and not risk any upsets.

I wanted to share why I am passionate about balancing nutrition & how it affects our whole health.
I started crossfit in 2018. I was overweight and struggling with depression & anxiety, not to mention all of the other things I was not handling. I was too embarrassed to join classes, so I did about 6 months of 1:1 w/ a coach who is now one of my best friends.
After about a month of classes, I realized working out just wasn't enough, and I was not really losing weight anymore (Center photo). That's when I started working with a nutritional coach. I didn't realize how broken my relationship with food was & I didn't realize what self care truly meant.
After just 2 cuts, I had lost about 40 lbs. (Last photo) I was feeling and moving better. I was more present as a wife, mother, & friend. I was managing my anxiety & depression better than I ever had.
I'm not saying that just working with a nutritional coach does all of these things all at once. What I am saying is showing ourselves the self care our bodies deserve through healthier habits and choices cause a ripple effect into other areas of our lives where there is space to grow.
This is why I say nutritional coaching is my labor of love. I have been through my own process, found the joy in it, & chose to continue to educate myself to help others.
Long day out. Go prepared with you food!! Make other people ask whatcha got .... it opens up the conversation about healthier habits.
Thiers more than the typical restrictive approach to work towards a goal. It all comes down to the how. How do you plan to succeed?
Decide your goal, identify the skill needed to achieve it, and then create daily habits to polish that skill.
Sounds simple right. Actions speak louder than words.๐๐ข
Food is not part of a reward system.
Creating healthier habits is the game changer. You can try any diet, meal plan, or tip/trick. It comes down to consistency with new skills, but maybe we just need ones that support a better whole health.

No one is going to do the work for you. The only choice is to show up for yourself.
Even if you can't change you mindset at the moment, you can still show up.
Sometimes a different perspective is all we need.
Your goal doesn't have to be just about weight loss. It could fit into almost any goal. Nutrition is a universal skill & knowledge that affects everything we do. Literally everything.
Thier isn't one magic veggie that is going to fix all your nutritional problems. Eat what you enjoy, to get the nutrients you need.
More than likely, your doctor has told you, 'you need to lose weight.' Let's talk about it!!
Sometimes we can get fixated on the end result. Thier is so much more to your nutrition plan that can indicate you're on the right path.
