FIRST Core Values are the framework in which FLL is built.
FIRST CORE VALUES
The third core value pillar of the FIRST program is IMPACT.
FIRST defines it as how individuals apply what they have learned to improve their community and beyond.
HUHS Team 1091 Robotics launched their S.T.E.M. outreach initiative, W.I.N.G.S. (Working to Inspire the Next Generation in STEM), to increase S.T.E.M. awareness and interest in the 225 sq miles their school serves.
Our highschool robotics buddies will be helping at the Hartford Masons' Craft Fair and Flea Market tomorrow.
They will also have their robots on-site and a few STEM activities for kids.
Catch HUHS Team 1091 this weekend!
On Sunday, May 19, we will be at the Hartford Flea Market & Craft Fair sponsored by the Hartford Masonic Lodge #120.
The team will have robots to drive and kid activities to do.
We'll be located in the Hartford Rec Center & Schauer Center parking lot from 9 am - 3 pm.
See you there!
FIRST core values are the framework in which the FLL program is built.
It's not just about building a robot. It's about building future visionaries, thinkers, and go-getters.
The FIRST program is built upon six core values.
These core values are the foundation of each FIRST team.
The first core value is DISCOVERY.
FIRST defines it as an exploration of new skills and ideas.
Each season, HUHS Team 1091 provides team members with opportunities to brainstorm, design, prototype, fabricate, and so much more.
Attention Oriole Ascent team members!
If you are on Team Lightning or Athletic Technics and didn't receive your regional competition dog tag (rose gold color), please let us know.
If you are on RoboDodos and didn't receive either your regional or sectional (silver color) dog tag, please let us know.
Thanks!
Gracious Professionalism - One of the core building blocks of the FIRST Robotics program.
The FIRST Organization embraces the concept of GRACIOUS PROFESSIONALISM, which was coined by a key guiding figure within FIRST, Dr. Woodie Flowers.
It is believed that when teams embody Gracious Professionalism, "fierce competition and mutual gain" can coexist.
The alliance part of the FIRST robotics competitions shows Gracious Professionalism in action.

Oriole Ascent FLL Robotics strives to infuse the principle of Coopertition into all of our teams.
Helping others rise raises us up as well.
FRC Team 1091 is built on the values of the FIRST organization.
A key mindset of FIRST is COOPERTITION - think Competition Cooperation.
Teams help and cooperate with each other whether it's during or outside of competition.
This encourages learning, teaching, and collaboration that can lead participants to new areas of discovery and innovation.
Just a quick reminder!
Tonight is our Information Meeting at 6 pm at the Jack Russell Memorial Library.
Anyone interested in joining a team or volunteering, please stop by.
